I doubt that he will really change too much but I am prepared to live with that. I do believe however that he is trying to change. Is what he has done really that bad ?????
If he was an amateur the it would be fine - as a professional sportsperson then we should be expecting better. Actually I'd rephrase that to we should be demanding better.
In terms of change - trying to change and changing are two completely different things. He is 27 now, 28 at the start of next season - just how much time do you give him to change? I recall posts as far back as 2002 when I first joined TBV (pre TC forum) - numerous people suggesting that it was just a phase with Fev, he would mature as he got older, he was making an effort to change etc. Yet 6+years later Fevs professionalism still isnt up to scratch and people are still suggesting these things.
In terms of fri night - I can live with the push to the face in the second 1/4 that gave away the free as I can see how that might be accidental - the 50 though wasnt good enough, neither was the careless chasing that followed after he came back from the bench (copped a couple of saints players high that on a different day would have drawn a free/rough conduct charge), softness in contests (poor leading/not enough doubling back, going to ground easily, playing for frees etc) were also poor form - and as many have already mentioned the hugging of several saints players/joking on field with the opposition after a loss in a game that meant so much for the club (spot in the 8, 5 years of losing to the saints etc) was inappropriate to say the least
