Because unless you KNOW what the holdup is you are speculating and brushing these two players with the same brush as you are accusing others of doing with regards to Fev.

Well said DUC.

Two things, Fev isn't going anywhere and Kennedy isn't coming back.

Oh. What about Goddard?

When the Coach, CEO and President come out like they have over the weekend, it's no media beat up, the club is pissed off at Fev and so they should. I couldn't care less if he didn't sign, another 2 top 20 picks in return for Fev is a big win for our future IMO.

I totally agree.

Swann said that they put an offer on the table and Fev rejected it. Carlton have not made another offer. It is effectively that or nothing and the way he is going he is lucky to get that.

In my opinion they should say to him its time to look at other options. See if anyone else will pay you what they want and if so we will try and do a deal for you, similar to what happened with Judd.

I would be happy for another pick inside the top 20 and a young player.

I'd say there's some cred here...the guy has offered his 'sauce' in support of his comment.

Now its up to you to call GS or just leave it.

Piss off Headplant, now you're making us have to think about it! You're making it too hard.

Back to Fev...

I back the club's decision!

Couldn't agree more.

And I couldn't agree more!!

I also understand what this thread is all about. Isn't this what the thread is about? :? Isn't this what all contract negotiations are about; a suitable figure for BOTH PARTIES?

Has everyone gone mad?

Mil, no one thinks we should shaft Fev...or at least I don't. But when you carry on like he does, it's going to de-value your worth.

The problem is, Fev doesn't get that. The club sees him crack the sads and carry on like an idiot and automatically knocks 100K off his contract.

Fev, on the other hand, thinks he's worth an extra 100.

I love Fev and I would hate to see him elsewhere, but we really need him to be more consistent. I know there are a lot of issue with no one seems to get close to goal, and they should go back to the magoo's until they learn to kick (eyes Fish and a few others).

It is arrogance that cannot see the need to strings attached to his contract - every year, there is something he has done - some stuff up or another. If he cannot be grown up enough to realise that is why we want to attach strings to the contracts and accept it, then he can go elsewhere;

Perhaps we would be better off taking our boat load of money and chasing J.Brown.

Personally I think we need Fevola and I am praying that he re-signs sooner rather than later, it is taking way to long.
I say it will be announced on SEN this Wednesday 16/07/08 on Sports Central 2:45pm update = 3 year contract.

I don't know what to think about all this.

Is it all a media beat up and Fev's only fault (contract wise) is to not come out and say, he has in principle agreed to sign and there were just a few loose ends to tie up, apart from that all good and I'm staying!

Or is he being advised by an evil budgie or two to go for all it's worth ?

maybe the Club just draws a line and says to Fev, this is it $-wise and this is the behaviour clause that will be in the contract ... it's all up to you but if you are not staying, then we need to start looking around for your replacement/s .... you have till tomorrow night to sign or it's all off.

I feel better for saying it but still not sure how I would like it to end.

I suppose all will be revealed soon enough.

Apparently there is a money hungry snivelling turd who made some back door entrance to this club over the past week who left this club after some sage advice from another snivelling turd who ended up in a wheelchair.

If the first snivelling turd has any pertinent advice about what it was like to head for the money the money in the first place and how he is viewed as a player at careers end, might go some way in raising my estimation of him from where it currently is - "miserable piece of shit" to just "piece of shit.

Tomato are BBQ

Tell me is this the same sauce that told you in an era where the cheque book ruled - that a required player in Walls left the club with the biggest cheque book and went for more money at a club with the smallest cheque book
