Not doubting the integrity of either of these two - but both DUC and OR quoted (I think from the membership department) membership figures over 40k.

Why the discreptancies between these amounts, and the final amount given from the AFL.

Sure there can be errors, but if people all over the country can count up ballots on election day with accuracy - surely the club (with months up it's sleeve) could produced a moderately accurate figure... :?:

The figure listed for Carlton is incorrect.

We have exceeded 40,000. This is a Collingwood press release only and it wouldn't surprise me if Eddie is grandstanding for his constituents/sychophants.

or we deliberately told collingwood we had less than 40k and want to shock them when we announce we have broken the record. :)

That was stated in a recent Fox Sports News article about the Carlton v Shit kilda game and how we could net an additional 350k from the game from attendances.
