The boring sponsor dominated ones are my least favourite. Banners should be for honouring a milestone, or sticking it up the opposition.

Ditto.

Sponsor banners shit me. Makes me think that the cheer squads are mindless mongs with barely a brain cell to share between them.

The banners have been far better this year.

So whichever way it's being organised should be sustained.

there've been some rippers this year.

"We can rub it in, but we're better than that."

Haha, unbelievable. I am absolutely loving the banners - it's about time someone started producing ones that are actually worth reading. The Richmond one was hilarious, and the Saints one is also great.

Hahaha, I'd love to know who comes up with them, because they are quality

I wholeheartedly agree.

west coast; " we could gloat, but we're better than that"

Port adelaide: "teal. Isn't that a duck?"

are classics.

I think they are simply brilliant. "Author, Author".

Yep, I was horrified at the Richmond one when I initially thought it only said something like "Carlton acknowledges Richmonds centenary" which would have been an absolute disgrace...

I think the President of the Cheer Squad is getting too bogged down in PC.

She should try and remember that ribbing and taking the pI55 is part of what football has been about for about 150 years.

the cheer squad banners have been pathetic the last few years.

Cheer squad "We are resigning at the end of the year beacuse the club now drafts the messages on the banners because the ones we have come up with over the past few years have been flowered"...

Against Port, it should read: "Real men don't wear teal and silver, especially not together"

The Club still has to OK it, but that's their only involvement.

Then Joffa has to run the spell check over it.

The Richmond banner was the best I had seen in years.

If it takes the club's involvement to get us to that level of piss taking, then I'm all for it to continue.
