Will be the next Captain of Carlton I'm tipping ..perhaps even from 2011 when his next contract begins.

yep agreed, i'd love to see him captain us to a premiership(s) one day.

fev, take note from the 2nd youngest bloke on our list:
Quote:
"It is a great mix and I was so welcomed and settled in so well that I had no hesitation in signing for another two years, until 2010. We are a club going places and I want to be part of it," Gibbs said.

As long as he doesn't get badly injured Gibbsy will be the best player in the league by 2011.
Hopefully he will remain a blue boy throughout his career

forget the stats he gets, forget the money he makes, forget the jumpers he sells

Chris Judd benefits to our club - is in that article.

Gibbs, Muprhy, Kreuzer - all learning from the best is goign to see our club develop some superstars.

I tell you this.

We are goign to from being beret of leadership to an abundance of them.

And Gibbs is going to be way up there.

And im not sure who i want in the roll anymore. Used to swear blue for Murhpy.

But the way Gibbs goes about his business, is everything a captain should be.

Keep up the great work mate :) You are going to be a start!!!

This season he has accepted responsibility for curbing the likes of Brett Deledio, Heath Shaw, Chad Cornes, Dale Thomas and Sam Mitchell, some of the most elusive and constructive players in the competition

Wow that's a good effort considering we haven't even played Hawthorn this season

But yes, Gibbs is gun and will be elite soon enough.

From memory, Gibbs had about 10 possessions in the third quarter playing on Sam Mitchell. Mitchell had a 3 or 4.
Just a glimpse of his potential if he stays focussed and commited IMO.
