I don't understand why we took the risk. He was a mature player who had been picked up before and who hadn't been close to coming over. I asked "Why!?!!??" at the time. It wasn't as if we were unaware that many good SANFL players were getting paid NOT to come over.
As a player I can recall only seeing him once. He could have been something if we'd got him early. He had a lot of natural talent, but wasn't an inside type. He could have filled a number of roles, from HF to mid.
