I think most clubs are sitting on their membership numbers until the final day.

I'd like to think Carlton will be signing up more between now and the 31st than both the Scum and Filth.

Oh man, I hope we crack the Pies membership.

In our first year on the up, after years of heartbreak that would see Tigers and Demons supporters pledge to never watch another game again, we are in another record-breaking membership year, on the cusp of having the most members of all the Victorian teams.

How freakin' sweet would that be!

...not sweet enough to evoke a response, apparently.

I'm sorry Sparky, but it has been quiet on the membership front of late.

There are only a few days to go, so I suppose we'll hear something soon.

The Hawks are on 41,158 - forget Essendon* and Magpies, they might overtake all of us! How can they have so many?

I would be unhappy if we finished behind them.

Don't be too surprised if a few more "corporate style" memberships to flow in the coming days

Yet apparently our latest figure as of today (26th June) is 40,665. Did we get ahead of ourselves on the 40k membership figure or did we somehow manage to only sell 650odd memberships in over a month of football?

even funnier than that, the pssst section of the age said we were on 37, 200 before we beat collingwood the first time!

sold their souls and identity to Tassie, have the dawks. Maybe that's why the AFL don't want to expand in tassie. The dawks would lose 3 to 4K members.

Their fans have lots of pets.

What clubs claim is irrelevant.

The AFL audit should be out soon, minus cats and dogs.

Maybe everyone was at home last Friday night rushing their membership purchases through. They certainly weren't at the Dome watching their team.

You don’t get to see the pets on the telly, they’re below the seat line…

on wikipedia, it says collingwood are currently sitting on 46, 278 members. surely, that can't be true and some idiot has just edited that and inflated the figure...

I wouldn't believe any figures other than the official numbers released by the AFL. Given those haven't been released yet, I don't really care.
