- I think this goes a bit beyond Talking Injuries..

http://sportal.com.au/afl-news-display/ ... judd-51165

A question mark remains over the fitness of Carlton skipper Chris Judd for Saturday's crucial clash against Richmond at the MCG.

Judd was heavily concussed early in last Sunday's loss to the Bombers in a collision with his Essendon* counterpart Matthew Lloyd and lacked his customary dash and drive in being held to a season-low 12 disposals.

Carlton coach Brett Ratten said he expects Judd and Andrew Carrazzo, who was also concussed against Essendon*, to prove their fitness, but declined to declare them as certainties.

First of all, my concerns lie with the player's welfare. Certainly hope they're ok. Hopefully they'll be fit to play.

To be frank, last Sun has dented my confidence in the boys. I'm far from confident going into this week, especially as it would appear this will be Richmonds grand final and they're approaching it as such. Without Judd, can't see us winning...

I reckon Saturday will show how badly we want to be in the 8.

I'm a bit concerned - I think the team will be a bit too complacent to say "we've done OK and we'll be back next year!"

I'm very happy for them to prove me wrong!

If the players think that winning 2 more games compared to last year, is okay, then our problems are a lot more deeper than ANY OF US realise.

If Judd is concussed and can't play for Richmond, wouldn't that put us in the box seat?

I’m starting to despise Bitchmond, hell I felt sorry for them previously, but I am really, really starting to get a real hatred towards them.

I never wish injury on opposition players but I see your point.

selective journalism at its finest, just to make Carlton supporters phwoar
I just watched Ratts' presser and he says Juddy was heavily concussed, however it is likely he will play but he is giving him until Friday until a decision is made.
Take a look  http://bigpondvideo.com/CarltonTV/61819

Richmond ruined my 9 year old brothers first match at the footy in Round 1.

That alone puts them alongside Collingwood and St Kilda as my most hated teams...

Word is he's OK but Ratts reckons if he's not 100% there's no risking him .. according to the afl site

Rest him, give him a couple weeks off with the break and let him tear run riot against the saints.

You should have been around in the 70's like a few of us older TC'ers

Agree, that hit Judd copped looked very bad - I would challenge the boys to lift in the absence of Juddy. He's a 5 to 6 year investment so no risks should be taken.

The rest will enable him to overcome any groin soreness and clear his concussion. Besides the extra break makes up for the one that was missed during the Vic vs All Stars game.

Richmond have had too much to say in the media this week to possibly win this game. It's a simple as that really.

After the 1973 Grand Final you could't help but hate those Bastards.

Laurie Fowler KO'd Bigh John & that fat bastard Neil Balme broke Geoff Soutby's jaw & the thugs went on to win the GF

I aso despised watching that goal hungry KB taunt us over his long career.

The only decent thing the Tigers have ever done was to thump the filth in the 1980 GF

They had a fair bit to say in the lead up to round 1, IIRC, and they got up and won.
