Ratts said in his press conference "That's it for us," he said. "It was great that we got to have a look, but as soon as we got our head above the horizon it got kicked off.

"We thought maybe being in the eight was a challenge (for) the group, to stay in the eight, but now I think it's just about us winning games, putting games into players, understanding our roles."

Now let's hope he sticks to this plan and use the remainder of the year developing our team, getting games into the kids, defining there roles within the side and teaches the kids

I have actually been mistaking in saying Melvin = :garthp:

It's actually Melvin = Daisy Thomas. :-D

Did you get a little bit excited when you posted that all by itself Melvin?

Is it just me but do i detect a strong correlation between our losses and the aggregate number of posts by Melvey?.

I hope so, there is a lot do by the end of the year and decisions need to be made.

1. We need to keep getting games (and game time) into kids
2. Guys like Austin, Anderson, Joseph, Jacobs, Ellard, Pfieffer, Edwards, Hartlett need to be given a decent go.
3. Our forward line needs huge work. Maybe later in the year play Fev outside 50 so we HAVE to look at other options. Look at how the Bulldogs keep the 50 open with several options moving around providing targets and they are not all tall.
4. Decisions to be made on the future of several players.
5. Play Waite on a WING as an ATTACKING option.
6. Stevens should be played off the bench as a burst player. Should never be in centre square.
7. Defence of Thornton, Jamison, Setanta, Armfield, Anderson, Browne, Grigg should be allowed to settle and play together.
8. Betts should be given more time on ball. Needs to learn how to play this role and what it involves. Has had limited success as a small forward but to me has the attributes to be a very good midfielder.
9. Hampson, Jacobs, Kruezer, Aisake? to play ruck. As hard as Cloke tries he will NEVER be a No.1 ruckman. His best option is CHF.
10. We need to look at the way we play, clubs are working us out already as we are to predictable.
11. Skills! Need to keep working on this and should be a priority when we select draft picks at year end.

If we lose to Richmond or St Kilda our hopes of finals are over. Time to start plannig for next year.

Ratts must have logged on here and took notes from your posts Melvey.
We all owe you a great thanks.

Ratts must have been furious that so many on here got ahead of themselves last week. That really had a negative impact on the team.

Why aren’t the moderators doing something about Melvey?
The site is going down hill allowing his garbage to be posted.

it's a good question, why are the allowing a pretend carlton supporter to get off on our losses and celebrate our failures?
