Would love to think we are in that position by the time we play St Kilda - I was telling everyone prior to the Port game, that if we could could knock off Port, then we'd win the next 3 games as well...

The way the Saints play it will be difficult to match them... I know they aren't exactly a kick-ass unit, but their style of play and their possession football seems to work very well against us.

I see it as the most difficult of the next 3 games, but if we win the next 3 in a row - then the lid will well and truely be off in terms of finals football.

That said, let's hope Ross Lyon continues with his 'blooding the kids' policy.

someone said on tv on some network cough tonight after the saints win tonight.

"Robert Harvey had 30+ possessions for his 118th time tonight, 1 in every 3 games he does this feat" Ah well he is old and played a lot of games well done.

What worries me is he is damaging to carlton sometimes. I hate guys who seem to like grow a pair and play well like that.

They'll probably have recalled Dal Santo by then. Play through his opponent every time. He may have great skills and pace but he is extremely unaccountable and is only being found out now because the Saints are struggling.

Their play last night was appalling. It was a poorly executed Sydney. Sydney are ok to watch because they execute it well but the standard of play last night was just ridiculous. If the Saints play like that against a decent side they will get smashed.

If we don't smash the Sinners, we don't deserve to play finals football.

The Saints sould get smashed!!!!

Theyre gone... worst football side losing confidence even winning...
Last nights game was a new low for AFL football....

Freo should have win in Melbourne.... which is really saying something about a team trying to tank....!!!.. and another trying to pretend its a finals team....!!!(2nd favourite to win the flag a few weeks ago)

I second that .. our record
- against the aints (haven't won since R20, 2001)
- against the aints at the toilet bowl (haven't won since R20, 2001 @ TD)
isn't that good .. but I don't see us doing too well v the tiggers either .. we'll see
- how we go v the scum this weekend
- how the tiges go this weekend

[edit]I posted a question here for the statisticians - the last time we won five in a row was R9-18, 2000, then 11-16 1994. Can it be done again?

So 1995 didn't happen?

We hadn't beaten Freo and we hadn't beaten PA in Adelaide until this year. Time to bury the bad memories once and for all!

We havent beaten St Kilda for ages because they have been a lot better than us. Now we IMO are better, we should beat them. Either way, were heading up, their going down.

It'll be interesting playing them after the break.......i'd prefer to carry on with our current momentum.

But MCG, Friday night on the BIG stage......in front of a HUGE tv audience ---all the stars are aligned for us

I Should be seeing my Maiden Carlton victory over the Aints :-D

saying that, i'm more worried about richmond......earlier in the season we were flat......but its going to be no push over

blues by 5 goals

After seeing last night, Saints will have an uber flood on like last time. What do we do then? This is still the most unconvincing thing about our team, they can't counteract heavy flooding.

Harder to flood on the larger grounds. Remember, it's at the"G".
