I do truly hope that are planning a successor, and with the professional people at the club, they almost certaintly are.

I thought it was best for a quiet succession plan when all this blew up originally, and still think it would be best for Pratt and Carlton to go ahead with a successor, but in it's own time.

The media will blow it up, but it is big news and even bigger in a footy town like Melbourne.

Big Jack vs Patrick Smith. Will Patrick become Jack's bunny?

SEN are going on about the issue adnauseum - a phone poll has 70% of callers wanting Pratt to re-sign.

[Patrick Smith] audio has been playing, claiming that Pratt will stand down from CFC by 5pm today.

Arguments over whether being turfed before found guilty are popping up...

The caller who bagged out [Patrick Smith] - claimed "he was obviously picked on as a child", one of TC's own? I could swear I've read that here before...

Sorry about the jumble, about to walk out the door to hear to work.

I think the fact that the Hun ran it on the front cover without any comment from Sheahan or Robbo in the sport pages would indicate that if there is any beat up, it will only come from [Patrick Smith] and maybe Caro.

Seems JE is high profile today and on several radio stations today. I dont think its a good idea having John doing the defending...... not with his record.

The media love to undermine the targets of their tabloid hunt and JE loves to get in the media – a match made in heaven!

The reality is this is very bad news for Pratt and of less importance and significance Carlton.

This is obviously an attempt by Samuel to inflict more damage on a case he sees that the defendant got off very lightly. For a man that has achieved so much in his life this is a sad indictment on his reputation

Just to clear up PS comments:

"He would be staggered if Pratt didn't stand down by 5pm today"

There is currently a very large media contingent outside Raheen.

Whilst it may be the ACCC seeking to get a win over Richard Pratt because it believes he got off lightly previously, this is not good news for Richard or the Carlton presidency.

These charges are very serious as they are criminal rather than civil which the previous charges were.

Despite supporters desire for him to remain, it is highly unlikely that Richard Pratt will remain President.

Elliot is an embarrassment. Just media grabbing from SEN.

Can't deny that this is serious but more an issue for Dick Pratt than one for Carlton FC.

Listening to SEN it is a chance for the rest of the football world get into us. Why? Because they know we are coming back and they are very worried!

Yeah, I have a feeling the stench of this one is worse than the smell of my boss' 7 week old puppy which is currently farting under my seat.

Yeah, you're right. I reckon he's just got to stand down so the footy club can go on. Otherwise whenever there's a slow footy news day, Hutchie, fat turd and Carro will run this out to justify their jobs.

That's the business of football these days and Pratty will know that.

Won't stop him attending the victories, though.

Great.....just who we need to be making public comments about the club to an avowed Carlton-hater. :garthp:
