I agree, but 'Seniority' seems to have always had a bearing on selection at Carlton.
Which suggests that Hoops will come straight back in ... which will be do his detriment .. they need the match practise: it won't hurt, unless it aggrivates the injuries ...

anythings possible..

Hoops was playing alright for us this year, till he got crunched. So he has the pre season and is our vet. He needs to see some success.

He was actually GOOD at seasons end last year up forward.

- He would be more chance to walk up and get a spot
- Tex hurt himself in a practice match rem.

Who goes:
- well considering we arent too bad at defending now, and the CHF position isnt the best and of course hoops aint a midfielder considering who we have. He could swap and work with Wiggins in that area.

So maybe a armfield out or a tall.

No flowering way would I have Andrew Walker coming back through the magoos. When he's right to go, he should be straight back in to the ones.

@#$%&! match fitness. He can get that up from a few extra scrimmages and running up and down the wing in his first game back. A bloke with a rig as good as his can get it up to speed pretty quick - remember, there has been nothing wrong with his motor throughout the lay off.

He was originally assessed as 10-12 weeks. Slight delay early on (IIRC) but pretty smooth from then on. If that's the case, then he should be cherry ripe to come back in at Rd 14 - as the latest assessment says.

I'm bloody pumped.... the lid is just rattling a bit on top of the jar. If we get over the Scum, Tiges and Aints AND have 1AW scratching the hoof into the turf, ready to charge by Rd15..... then the lid will be RIGHT OFF!!!!

GO BLUES

Ummm,.........errrrr.........where are we gonna put em? LOL!

Walker, apparently, might be back as early as a week or 2. Who the hell are we gonna drop to get him in the side?

Armfield?
Russell?
Bentick?
Wiggens?
Fisher?

Sure...... they each have their knockers/critics but each one has played a vital role for their team in the last couple of weeks.
Happy to leave a winning side unchanged but our next loss could come at any time and it then tends to become easier to find spots.
Similarly injuries & suspensions can come from nowhere so spots can open up that way.
Having said that, between these and others coming back from injury plus some showing some VFL form, good to know there are some available to fill spots when they open up.
Plus any guys who make way will of course be pushing to get back in.

i'd like to see walker come back through the 2s as well. when he comes back, depending on form we're going to have to make a hard decision and drop someone. there's no liabilites in our team anymore and this is a great problem to have when compared with the previous 6 years atm, i'm thinking maybe grigg for walker. as for houlihan, he should also come back through the 2s and provided he dominates there maybe we could drop wiggins (if he's played his 100th by then) for him.

No way in hell drop Grigg or Army while they're progressing as well as they currently are.
Dropping them's like chopping of a flower bud when it's about to bloom. Illogical!

There is no way Walker would come back through the seniors when he has missed 14 weeks. He'll need to play Bullants. But when he is matchfit, he is straight in. Worry about who makes way when its necessary

well you could probably say that about 70% of our team. unless the mc do something brave and drop scotland there is no other option apart from wiggins. maybe we could even bring in walker for wiggins and just leave houlihan out unless he really dominates in the vfl.

Apparantly Walks will start back with the Bullants on June 29th vs Port Melbourne and hopefully be right to go in R15 vs the Aints.

I'd say one of our ruckmen would be the ones most likely to make way.

Big Hammer played around 30% (or was it 30 mins???) of the game on the weekend and I'm not sure if that's hugely beneficial for a developing ruckman at the moment.

Walker can take that spot in the team.

As for Bannister and Hoops, well the team is doing well, especially the defense. I think it's obvious the linchpins of the back are Waite, T-Bird and Jamo - with all three in the line-up we haven't conceded over 100 points (excluding the Adelaide game where Thornton got injured early) since round 3. When a team is doing well, usually there aren't any changes, so that would probably be the case until we start to show weaknesses that can be fixed with a re-jigged line-up.
