i dont think RJ has been given much of a chance. been on the senior list since 2006 and IMO has played well whenever been called up. is a great tagger (had a great game on rob harvey last year) and is just as good if not better than banno.

Should have played Red in the Ants more often. The colour suits him.

Not to mention his moniker.

Does anyone know how any players are yet to re-sign. Besides Fev, Murphy and Waite, i think the others are Houlihan, Russell, Grigg, Austin, Wiggins, Saddington, Blackwell, Anderson, Benjamin, Anyone else? How many of these will be kept?

Saddington, Blackwell, Austin will be gone
Sam Jacobs and Cain Ackland will be gone
A. O'hailpin may be gone
Russell and Wiggins will be shopped around and may be offloaded if the price is right but i expect both to be there on short-term contracts

Channel 7 news the other night mentioned that Murphy was negotiating a 4 year deal worth $300,000 a year and Waite wants $400,000 a year on his new one. Waites seems a bit excessive considering Didak just signed a new deal worth $8000,000 over 2 years.

I meant $800,000 of course, still seems a good deal to me.
Getting Murphy for $300,000 a year would be a bargain

Anyone pissed off as I am about the unbusiness like contract negotiations with the Fev ? I think its crap that they were not professional enough to keep talks inhouse, instead bowing to media demands. I also think its bullshit to keep negotations with one of our most important/marketable players till last. Make no mistake if he goes, our club will suffer membership wise and be put back another couple of years as well.

I think its crap that Swan made this call, IMO Swan had a poor media week so far.

I also think its crap how our most important players Fev, Murphy and Waite are still not signed. It is taking so long, and I am not so confident on our administration at the moment.

I get the impression that things are not so smooth now that Pratt is officially gone and he has other things on his plate...........

...and it's only Wednesday.

Good on 'im I say. Fev tried to out fox Swann and Icke and they out witted him (seems hard to believe, I know).

Ball's in the club's court now, just what they wanted.
