Pro: The panic-monkeys are absent. Haven't heard much from Abbadon et al for quite some time :-D

And where's Melvey? :-D :-D

He must be sulking - somewhere in here he said Collingwood are a better team than Carlton, couldn't find it unfortunately.

Pro's

Team developing and believing in themselves.

Grigg, Army and Kruezer showed courage playing/returning in the last quarter injuried, showed commitment to the team.

JR is slowly silencing some critics on this site.

Fev not only for the goals, but after the game ran towards the umpire to collect the game ball, not for him as one would assume but for Scotto.

Our backline is becoming very versatile.

Con's

The dipshit who spat at Fev

He does this for most if not all milestone games, it shows a lot of pride and love for his teammates. Great to see :-D

PRO:

the smile on Juddy's face after the siren...

it had a "this is what it's all about... inspiring my young teamates in front of a massive crowd.... to a Famous Victory.... at the Home of Football" kind-of-satisfaction to it 8)

gotta feeling we're gonna see that smile again come the last day of September in the not too distant future

Love ya Juddy!! Still can't believe your ours!!

:-D

I was over for the game on a boys weekend to celebrate my 30th. I couldn't have asked for anything better.....

My first post in a pro's/con's thread so here goes

PRO's

Murph - one word, GUN. Even my mates (all eagles supporters who can't stand us) agree, couldn't believe how good he was.

Judd - great second half. Stood up when the game was on the line. Fantastic leadership.

Fev - pretty much what everyone else has said however I want to highlight something we don't often associate with him......leadership. I was sitting in section M51 and had a pretty good view of our huddles. I was watching after they broke to take their positions on the field for the last qtr when Fev proactively called the group over, by himself, for an address. Of course, have no idea exactly what was said but I was absolutey impressed by this act and have no doubt it fires the boys up even more judging by their response before going out. I felt pretty damn confident we would win after witnessing that.

Resilience - another come from behind win when all looked lost. Love the self belief the boys have, fantastic trait they are building.

Backline - thought they were fantastic. Competed well, most won there position, with plenty of run provided.

Seeing my beloved Blues, as part of an 80k crowd at the g, win a big game against the arch enemy! Could not of asked for anything more, it was a priviledge being there the day we 'officially returned to the big time'.

Deserving our spot in the 8.

Con's

Not a lot but always room for improvement

Still to Fev reliant - we really need a second major goal kicker

Missed opportunities in the first quarter - we almost could of put the game away with straight kicking

I can't believe Carlos is mentioned in all but two or three cons. He was unbelievable in the first quarter and still fantastic thereafter. He took a huge corky mid-game and looked in all sorts of trouble, but battled through and finished off well. Read the stats on the spoils, fantastic effort Carlos the best of the backman on the day.

I gave him votes - thought he took out their only dangerous tall forward

Pro: Judd is getting what he wanted, big games in front of huge crowds.

Sometimes you can celebrate too hard. Got out of Royal Melbourne yesterday afternoon... :(

Pfft, when I turned 30 I got to see the Swans beat us by 12 goals in pissing down rain out in the sticks at the Olympic Stadium.

Bandwagoner.

Loved the fact that Setanta got under Cloke's skin.

To carry on the way he did after kicking a single goal as the major forward in his team showed that setanta had him. Good scalp
