They reckon that each final game add ten games experience to a player.
On that i reckon a game where youre playing the enemy at the MCG in front of 80,000 people for a place in the eight would have a profound effect on the kids.
Winning that game (as well as the interstate come from behind win last week vs Port) makes for a massive character build for young footballers.
In my opnion it will set us up for more of the same against pretty young and inexperienced outfits in Essendon* and then Richmond in front of big to biggish clubs who also happen to be traditional rivals....

Then we play a team we havent beaten in a while..... by that time we will be riding a wave and well and truly in the mood to rip StKilda a new one.. just as we traditionally have....

By that time with five games straight.. three against the enemy ,,. one against an interstate team that played off in last years GF.. and finally a traditional bunny team... these kids would have added alot of games experience under their belts.. but ALSO.. a hunger for success and belief to go forward...

If Malthouse doesnt want Blovkbusters.. we will take em...
Were good for them....our crowds have been massive and im expecting us to berat Collingwood in the membership stakes too..!!!

The other important thing we've gained from the last two weeks is the belief that we can win despite being almost down and out.

Lets hope the boys dont get ahead of themselves.

If they play with the same intensity they played with today we will be 9 and 6 potentially.

And there are half a dozen guys eyeing off a spot playing good footy for the ants so things are on the up

Finally I reckon the wheel is well and truly turning.
two big wins in the last fortnight

I just hope we don't get too far ahead of ourselves.

Essendon* will come out swinging and play like they have nothing to lose. With Lucas nearing full fitness they probably aren't the pushovers they were a few weeks ago.
Richmond seem to match up well against us....who do we play on Richo? The Tigers will also have the added motivation of the match against us being their so called "centenary" game.

Not Fev's biggest fan but it has been a long time since I have seen a player that plays like he does on the G he is a completely different player on that ground - He should have had 10 today

The challenge is to take each of these games one at a time as a block...
If we get out unscathed on the other end... it should translate to finals footy...!!!

But the big games againstt the enemy clubs are great... as we keep beating them... we will want to continue to keep beating them...

The one on the end of the block ...??? The Saints??... i want us wearing steel capped boots and kicking heads that day....

I want their supporters leaving at half time.. like they have done for the whole of last century...

These games now are about belief.. and work ethic. and the need to sacrifice for the team... which we did today...

First you have to know where you are in the scheme of things.. then you can be happy..otherwise youre deluded...

Im happy...!!!

We are beginning to play with purpose... (without the excuse that were too young).. we have alot of talent...and a few players still to come in...!!!

so we have depth now and a developing team ...

.. and some superstars and developing superstars..

All this as the talent pool in the league is diminishing and diluted... and a quite few clubs on the slide..nd only a couple finding themselves in our strong position going forward..

When the dust has settled.. it will be harder to win premierships against 17 teams than against 15 (Now)... but were well placed to be the first club to win 17...

GO FOR IT!!!

Maybe that will be the reason the filth supporters will say they've lost all the games in their history - "oh yes, we suffer from blockbuster fatigue".

Excuses in retrospect......

I actually think the filth are their worst enemies!!!!

It has to be played in blocks. IMO, the Port game is an added bonus. That was a win we got and wouldn't have banked on. The next 5 on the G would be banked on IMO by the CFC as a "Winnable Block" Get the 5 and who knows what can happen...Will be a big crowd v the Bummers and we should get up on form...
