- Murph demonstrating yet again that he is a far more valuable player than Daisy or Petal.

- Walker, Hadley, Bower, Browne, Pfeiffer, Bannister, Austin and Anderson all not in the squad today.....we have plenty of depth!

Cons
- still too reliant on Fev to kick goals
- Hampson had a bit of a dirty day...however he is still very raw and we should cut him some slack

Cons: I reckon Fev must have an injury of sorts. His kicking from 45m+ has been suspect quite a few times this year, certainly doesn't look as convincing as he has in the past.

JR.......... did ok today. Good on him for backing up last weeks effort with another gutsy performance.

Judd...... was held well all day but STILL got 25 possesions and played a huge part in our win.

Murphy..... Awesome game and is firming for B&F every day.

Gibbs...... two very important games in a row!



CONS:-

These umpires are getting worse. They were shit all accross the board. Not just towards us or the pies....... they were just plain SHIT!

Hampson...... needs to have a rest in the VFL. Bring in Aisakie or Jacobs.

80,000 people....... but it wasn't our home game.

we didn't buckle in our third quarter position like we would've in the past 3 years

cons-
i missed many of our goals in the end of the third/last 1/4's because i was too busy dancing around and calling pies supporters

I have to agree. More than hearing "GO PIES!!!!" OR "GO BLUES!!!!" during the day it was much more "WTF????"

I accept losing to a better team on the day, but the umpires really do ruin the day for all. It didn't go more one way or the other, it was just so frustrating all round.

They should be made more accountable for their decisions and be made to answer for their obvious mistakes, just like everyone does in their jobs.

*Its the first time we've been in the top 8 in the 2nd half of the year since 2001, and who better to do it against.

*Two umpiring decisions really got to me : the one were dane swan was tackled (shoulda been holding the ball as he dropped it before he kicked it) but it was called for holding the man. and the one were fish was called for in the back, when he had front position . But hey, who gives a stuff, WE WON
*stevens was pretty average for most of the game. but he scored a good goal when we needed him, and again WE WON, so who really cares.

Con - To those "in ta lec tu lls" who slag Stevens off time and time again. Unlike Judd he is not a protected species yet despite the numerous high hits he cops some still label him soft - watch his game objectively and realise his value to this team - he finishes for us and that is his main role - this guy is everywhere yet all some see is him receiving - just maybe its his work ethic to get to contests is the reason he receives so much. He still gets plenty of his own but hey not everyone is Judd FFS.
