Thought I would post some feedback that was sent to the Blueseum today. This is a great read for all those people who contribute to the site. What you do makes a great impact on a lot of people.

Hi my name is ------ and I've just discovered your website. I have followed our beloved Blues for 47 years and I cried when I was able to look up so much history and so may photos, CONGRATULATIONS on a fantastic effort. It is brilliant. I am having so much fun looking up past players and their numbers (my memory sometimes lets me down).I wish you all the very best and look forward to spending a lot of hours browsing your site and reliving past memories.

:-D :-D :-D

That's great!

It would be interesting to see how this user found the Blueseum, J. Don't know about others but I just can't use carltonfc.com.au anymore given it crashes my work system and slows down system at home. We of course advertise there through occasional articles and the Who Am I?

If that is replicated across manyusers, how do people find us? Through our occasional postings on the forums?

Just looking at the log stats and number one traffic source by a big margin is Google.

Then the other big sources of traffic are carltonfc.com.au, talkingcarlton, wikipedia and bigfooty.

That is great to hear of someone finding the site.
Particularly an old time member who will get to catch uo on lots of old memories about the club.

The top 100 pages is also interesting - the page of Chris Judd is about to enter the top 100 despite only playing 7 games for us.

From the Blueseum

Chris Judd just entered the 100 most popular pages in the Blueseum after 9 games in Navy Blue, with Carrazzo being replaced. By far and away the most popular current player in the Blueseum is Marc Murphy. Interesting stuff!

The recently added 'The Book of Records' menu page has just entered the Top 100 pages at the expense of Matthew Lappin, showing that a lot of users in the site are interested in records and stats and great performances, and perhaps not necessarily the player biographies.

We've also been re-doing the Image Galleries pages to make it easier to find some of the 2500 or so images stored in the Blueseum.

From the Blueseum

ps thanks BlueIce, assistance always welcome

Just did my first ever manual upgrade of the Blueseum software!!

Bit scary, but it all seemed to work smoothly enough.

Should mean all future upgrades are a bit easier.

We have gone from tikiwiki version 1.9.8.3 to 1.9.11.

I think I have taken care of everything, but if anyone sees anything weird on the site, funny formatting, pictures not where they should be etc. please let me know! :-D

I don't understand any of that but it all works fine.

My only gripe (and its a massive one) is that you have to tick the html box for all new pages again.

Next time you try to log in make sure you tick the 'remember me' box.

This should allow you to log in to the site.

Haven't been able to log in for months. Even when I reset my password.

I've had the same problem. It doesn't allow you to login or reset the password at all so ticking the remember me box isnt really an option.

I thought I'd just had either my username or password incorrect, given it had been so long since I actually logged in

The remember me box is under the login button.

Enter your username, then password, then tick the 'remember me' box that is just under where you put in your password and then click the login button.
