He's played the last 2 games with the Bullants and is named to play with them again on Saturday.

Needs to play better with the Ants.

He's already playing for the Ants and he needs to play better.

Don't let anyone on this thread say anything different.

It's getting to be a hard side to break into isn't it?

Can he play senior footy without pinging his hamstring in the first quarter??
He might be similar to Ackland in that his papers may have been stamped.

I like Hartett. I think he potentially has a place in Carlton's best 22 and I certainly hope that he won't be discarded at the end of the year.

The problem isn't that he has no talent. It's more that he struggles to get on (and stay on) the park.

No problem with him getting time and match fitness in the magoos. He needs to establish that he can "cut it" with the pace of senior footy. I hope he will be back in a few weeks, as I remain convinced that he presents our best option as a second key forward.

Fisher is a third tall and Kruezer is a ruckman. I am not convinced about Cloke as a key forward (despite him being good against the Cats). Hartlett is worth persisting with. He only just turned 22.

I dont know why people think Cloke could be a forward. He cannot, not agile enough.....

We simply do not have a hard core bonafide forward that is reliable. Only fev thats it.

Hartlett - Injury Prone
Fisher - Third Tall, poor kick
Edwards - Cannot get a sniff (dont know why)

This is it. I was worried about this last draft period, but you all said we had enough forwards mentioning Setanta And Aisake, and all of the above.

We should of got some tall project forwards as late picks or rookies and see if we could develop one. We dont have anyone coming through.

We need to seriously concentrate on tall and small quick forwards this year.

I like Kruezer forward and hope he is developed there. I would also like to see Benji some games and play forward as he has size and speed, just needs some confidense by getting a game I reckon.

I would also love to see Edwards getting some serious game time. Not sure what is happening there.

In the HUN today, Teague really talks him up. Can't find it on-line, but even allowing for hyperbole it is a huge wrap from the coach - says he "...could be a great Carlton player in the future... I think they need his presence....he is a (sic) strong and marks in a contest, he is a beautiful kick and very physical."

Also talks up Blackwell, saying it "...was a tick in Blackwell's box that Collingwood had a player of Paul Licuria's quality coming to him."

He is a player that doesn't command much attention or accolades because really he has done very little thus far but if he could stand up and stay healthy as a half forward then he will improve our side immeasurably and would be an important player.

My wish is that either Harts or Waite can play consistently at HF because our biggest deficiency at the moment is our one-dimensional forward line.

Harts, I hope you make it!
