Now I didn't know that. The last 10 times we did it make interesting reading too:

It is the 56th time that Carlton have won a game by winning just one quarter – a league record.

Not wanting to steal any of Bort's thunder - but I reckon the vast majority of those wins came in 1981 and 1982 - where we won most of our games with an 8 goal 3rd quarter blitz - after overcoming heavy Friday Night hangovers. :P

Oh - as I dip my lid to all the morons at SS - we must of cheated.

another interesting stat about our revival against PA was it equalled our best ever win from a 3/4 time defecit:

¼ time Car 0.2-2
Col 6.5-41
Final Score Car 13.12-90 Col 13.11-89

HALF-TIME
Deficit 44pts

versus Col
Match 1970-GF-MCG
½ time Car 4.5-29
Col 10.13-73
Final Score
Car 17.9-111
Col 14.17-101

THREE-QUARTER TIME
Deficit
30pts
versus Fit
Match 1942-R15-BS
¾ time C 7.7-49
F 10.19-79
Final Score C 17.13-115 (17)
F 13.20-98

30pts

versus Ess
Match 1944-R4-PP
¾ time C 7.14-56
E 13.8-86
Final Score C 13.17-95 (2)
E 14.9-93

and now Port adelaide 2008!!

What ground was 'BS' where we beat Fitzroy in 1942?

makes that 1970 revival in the grand Final look VERY special.

I was intrigued by that 1985 Saints game that we won by 32 pts having only won one quarter. Quite amazing really!!

I checked it on Blueseum and, sure enough, we kicked 10 goals to 2 in the second term and they just beat us quarter by quarter in the other 3 quarters.

I wonder what the highest winning margin is for a team that has only won one quesrter?

WOW i just realised i was at all 3 of these games!

thats on top of seeing us win 4 times in a row last year and 2 from 2 interstate this year.

i've been pretty lucky - probably seen almost as many wins as losses at game ive been to live in the last 4 years. well above the team average
