What were the bookies thinking!

I was always confident that we were a good chance and even called the win straight after last weeks lost, couldn't believe the odds we were offered. I got on it early in the week thinking it would go down then i checked again mid-week and the odds had lengthened

Who else got on?

Belief & faith are all you need. Got on Monday @ $6.15 for $100. Thank you my Blue Boys.

(That's resurrected a rather poor betting balance for the weekend - bloody horses)

Yeah $6.50 for me.

though I didn't have $100 on it like CK...

Just $10.

but also had $20 on the $2.10 @ +30.5 so that paid.

As did a nice double of Adelaide into Brisbane -29.5 ($3.25)

If Federer rolls Nadal tonight it will be a really really nice weekend on the punt.

Took $6 for a 20 spot when it opened in case it was an error (well, I always said it was an error ;) ) - and had another $10 on Eddie beating Fish in goals for the game.

If I'd had any money left in the account - I might have had some more on it too... :)

Posted this elsewhere (the pointless thread in Stuff... do yourselves a favour ), but this is probably a more appropriate thread:

So this morning I thought I'd lash out and do something I'd never done before. Logged in to my SportsBet account that I signed up for about 4 months ago and placed three bets.

$20 on Carlton by +39.5 paying $29 - potential win of $580 (so much for that one. Should've checked a weather report before throwing away my money, though I did have a $20 free bet so I thought why the hell not. It was more of an afterthought than anything else)

$20 on a Lions, Bulldogs, Blues and Pies quad paying $11.60 - potential win of $232

$20 on a Lions, Bulldogs, Blues and Dees quad paying $112 - potential win of $2,240

Go Dees!

Had a very nervous last couple of minutes, and I'll be cheering my lungs out for the Dees tomorrow

Wish i could afford to throw around that kind of money on punting

Posted this earlier in the week in the NRL Thread

Rabbitohs to beat Warriors (1-12) - tick
Geelong to beat North - tick
Brissie to beat Freo - tick
Hawks to beat Bombers - tick
Carlton to be Port (1-39) - tick

Paying 50/1 - I just wish i put more on it :)

Took Port as final leg in a 6-leg multi to win $200.
I'll miss my potential $200 return, but happily take the win.

 Prick! I actually had a nightmare about that last night... It was so vivid that I even woke up this morning convinced the game was over. Might chuck a 20 on the draw at $67 just to be sure 8)

i took the line (1.81) which was Port by 36pts so I was looking good most of the night.

Wish I'd taken the $6 though

The $2.10 line was @ +30.5

Had some on that too.

Bargain. Esp when the rain started falling...

Assuming you took them both head to head if it is a draw you get half the odds for each team. You will get to cash in both tickets. :P

Carlton at $5.85 for the win is incredible value when you consider we've managed not to be this teams bitches over the last couple of years like a lot of other teams.

I got a free $100 bet when I started my sporting bet account. Decided to put it on the Blues at $6 this weekend...

GIBBS

:)

Thank you Blues. Just returned from a great weekend in Adelaide...which cost nothing!
