To welcome Dennis Armfield to the senior line-up, we thought it would be good to analyse the contribution of his WAFL Club Swan Districts to the Blues over the years...

1. Name the 2 other current Carlton players to have been picked from Swan Districts...

2. There were 3 Swan Districts recruits to Carlton in the mid 1980's - name them.

3. Which of the three played the most games for Carlton?

4. Which Swan Districts recruit played a single season for Carlton in 2000?

5. Which other AFL Clubs did he represent?

6. One other Swan Districts player came to us during Pagan's reign. What was his name?

7. Which AFL Club did he come from?

8. Which fellow WA recruit from the same trade period played exactly the same number of games over the same 2 seasons?

9. One of our Swan Districts recruit had a famous Blue father. Who was he and which WAFL Club did he play for?

10. Bonus Points if you can name the Swan Districts Blue from 1949-1950?

I didn't do as well as grrofunger, but I had fun (and that's all that matters.. :P )

1. Got Blackwell, missed Ellard (I said Benji as the other one)
2. One out of 3 (I got Shine, but guessed Ralph and Da Rui as the other two)
3. Nup, forgot about Sartori
4. Tick (grrr...O'Reilly  )
5. Tick
6. Tick
7. Tick
8. Diggers? (yep, confirmed by Blueseum)
9. Tick, Tick
10. Nup

I love Blueseum.

Digby morrell that was just a guess so it was him,no idea on jim Davies. I think his younger brother played for The Kinks, lol.

I put Mike Smith also,he didn't get a game although, don't know why,he was pretty good.

Thanks for that name - I went through the site and couldn't find a reference, so consulted the guru and now have set up a page for him. Interesting write-up - before this Blueseum rep's time as a Carlton fan - but if you have anything to add, please enter into site or in this thread.

re: Sartori

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... 21%2C+1988

A long-term quality poster on BigFooty has indicated that the Herman snap goal to win the 1988 game against the Bears at Carrara was from Sartori and not Madden. Can anyone confirm this?
