Fev has hardly been inconsistent. Infact, since about the 50 game mark he has only been headed in one direction:

Red is his season to date, green line is if he plays all 22 games this year.

is that a career average graph? or moving average - career average doesnt mean much

Gee he has got the avearge above 2.5 as a ten year FF when he has been our only target!

Thats it then, pay him $5 million a year for the next 5 years, he is certainly worth it

Apart from when he did his groin, Fevola hasn't had a 20 game moving average below 2.5 since Round 10 2003, five years this week. :-D

This is hilarious.

An article written by Caroline Wilson has people on here running around chicken little style

All of a sudden the journalist who constantly states "my sources tell me" "I'm led to believe" etc etc knows everything about the negotiations between CFC and Fev - give it a rest please.

All public statements by the club and thus far by Fev indicate that a fair deal will be done.

Caro writes a controversial article about a big name player and gets plenty of attention - it doesn't mean that it's true nor does it mean that she knows more than 10% of what is going on. She is the master of linking little pieces together and guessing at the rest.

Trust in the adminstration of Carlton and you are guaranteed not to need to lose sleep over this one.

The correct outcome will be arrived at when all of the parties to the deal are ready for it to happen.

BREAKING NEWS -

Fev is seriously considering a change in career... as a poker player.

http://crownpoker.com.au/NewsDetail.aspx?N=90

Not a bad effort finishing 10th in the Vic Champs.

T-Bird had a crack, but he's just a loose-aggressive calling station...

Are you for real?
"Get rid of him" and three go to Fisher who struggles with one.

There's always someone who says "get rid of him" without any further plan.

I am not a fan of trading him but the further plan is that you spread the work load between 3 or 4 players and the players up the field understand that their are 3 or 4 options. You do become less predictable. For us to become a powerful side Fev can't be 30 goals ahead of the next Carlton goal kicker by Round 9.

Why could this not be done with Fev in the side?
Having him in the side using your tactic makes the forward line stronger!?

It sounds like your issue is with the forwards game plan - not the players.

Why would Fev feel the need to comment on current contract negotiations publically at a function?

I am confident Swann will insist on strict behavioural clauses being included in the new contract, whatever length. He'd be silly not to insist ...and he doesn't come across to me as silly.

Because Fev is missing the filter between his brain and his mouth that most of us were born with (not all of us....... most of us).

Stevens, Fisheer, and Bannister came AFTER Black Friday. (You could even argue that they came BECAUSE of Black Friday).

There is little doubt about that.

Anyway, in the very unlikely event he did leave, we would be adequately compensated ... unless he walked to the Scum with first pick in the PSD. :P

Would he be waiting in his car with his new jumper during trade week?

Not had inside word at Carlton since Collo left so take what she says with a grain of salt
Her track record recently is ordinary
Slagged off Ben Holland about suing Richmond for breach of promises but missed the real story potential of Richmond breaching the salary cap
Said last week Adrian Anderson is doing a good job  -
Said 2 weeks ago that furore about interchange bench would die down and not be hear of again -then they change the system again

Blues should move from the dome to the MCG -yes and who stopped us in the first place Caro -the AFL -REMEMBER WOULDNT SCHEDULE GAMES THERE EVEN IF WE MOVED
As for Fev - 3 years -conditions attached

Same story rewritten with a different player's name...

"Is Jonathan Brown coming home?"

Quote:
"JONATHAN Brown is no certainty to remain at the Brisbane Lions beyond this season, with club and player at odds over the tenure of his next contract."

George I thought the same thing reading that article.

FWIW Swanny was on MMM on the weekend and said we do have room in our cap to fit Brown in, as we have a very young side.

Not that it makes any real difference to anything. But what I found amusing about Caro's article is that amazingly enough her own team Richmond is one of only 2 clubs (along with the Western Bulldogs) who would be a serious chance of getting Jonathan Brown. Despite the fact that last year their TPP was fairly high, and Judd would have been able to price himself out of their reach. And despite the fact that Carlton have the second lowest TPP at the moment.

8. Fev always plays better come contract time. When he signed his last contract following good form it went downhill quickly after.

Didn't he win the Coleman medal the year AFTER he signed on? And the year he signed on didn't he finish the year off in advanced to have surgury?

No

Actually he signed on for 3 years in 2005, in Round 12 he started with the groin injury. Then in 2006 he ended up winning the Coleman medal.
And where did we finish?

So you're saying that Fev pulled his weight while the rest of the team didn't?

Reading the Brown article I like how it is mentioned that it will not be discussed outside the club and Manager.

Maybe a few other people should follow that example?

Brown isn't going nowhere. If you can find a market (Sportsbet) for where he'll end up, chuck the house on him staying at Brisbane. I have.
