Didn't see the match as I live in Sydney but my pros are:

* Won as many games as last year already
* Instead of being one of the bottom teams we are now beating the bottom teams
* Defence is no longer leaking goals as much. Our attack is maligned but for instance is better than Sydney's is
* No one is saying we are tanking!

No cons so far - v pleased with 4 wins at this stage of the year

Having to watch Michael Christian call a Carlton winning game on the Channel 10 coverage.

Con:

The slimy turd still cant give us any credit at all - and calls all Carlton free kicks could have gone either way.

I know that Champion Data points are often a less-than-perfect measure of performance (and not only because they won't reveal how they actually allocate them), but Grigg was one of seven players today to score over 100 points (others were Bentick, Carazzo, Gibbs, Scotland, Stevens and Waite). Not sure how long they've been doing them for, but I'd be very surprised if this has happened at all in the last five seasons.

It's now becoming pretty clear that we aren't good enough to beat genuine top 8 teams (except, as was the case with Collingwood, they don't turn up to play). But the most pleasing thing, to my mind was that there was geniune effort and performance across the whole team. Going back to the CD Stats, only two players scored under 50 (Hampson and Kreuzer). Again, I reckon this would be a first in recent memory.

Pros:

Bentick: best game for the Club. he was in everything, although he missed a shot on the run from 20m out

Stevens : totally destroyed Bell today. Ran him off and kicked a goal late in the game

Carlos : i thought his presence in the backline was huge. not only he did a decent job but was running hard and making the play

Cons :

1- Marc Murphy : i have said earlier this week that i rate Murphs as one of the worst offenders for poor turnovers & i was justified today. He killed it with his poor decision making, always picking up the Wrong option and turning the ball over. I guess he can only get better with time. he is a Star

2- Russel : Great game.. did everything but i have put him in the Cons because he continues to fail to kick goals from 20m out. it is just unacceptable. Someone at the footy Club should seriously give him some extra sessions, he can pair up with Fisher and probably half the side who cant kick goals from 30m out.

3- playing Cute football, always trying to pin point a team mate, refusing to take them on and kicking long. always hand balling to a runner after taking a mark, having no awareness of the players around them, thus turning the ball over on many occasions today

4- once more, got Smashed in the Ruck. The only reason why we won the game because Mr Sandilands forgot which team he was playing for and often his taps went to our players.

I think you are doing our on ball division a dis-service they sharked the ball well and also Kreuzer and Hampson although not always able to win a hit out were able to pressure Sandilands to mis-direct his.

The development of Grigg and Bower. Griggs handballing skills are first rate. The kid is getting better and better and you can see his confidence growing...A real find and player of the future.

Setanta before he got injured played his best game for the club. Spoilt well but more importantly provided rebound. I reckon he may have won over Brett Ratten today

Stevens, Bentick were sensational players.

Cons:

Disfunctional forward line. At half time we should have been six goals up with the amount of ball and control we had

PROS:
We won a game we tried our hardest to lose.

We won with Judd playing shit (by Judd standards).

Eddie is pretty close to being that dangerous small forward we have always wanted him to be.

CONS

We tried our hardest to lose a game we should have had stithced up and half time.

I'm not sure if I really enjoy watching football any more. I'm stoked that the Blues won but what I saw today was a steaming pile of over-legislated, over-officiated, under-skilled dog faeces.

PRO - 100% record against WA teams for the season. Unlimited bragging rights at work until at least 2009.

CON - we only get to play each of them once this year!!!

waite, betts and bentick were brilliant....really happy with grigg and his development..

fev's chase and tackle was inspirational

gibbs ducing and weaving three players in our attacking 50 then pin pointing a long hand pass to stevens was simply freakish

still no chf...where is our chf...

grigg had a good last quarter but was average throughout IMO

 :garthp:

you need to watch the game again

he wasnt amazing...whenever he gets the ball he looks backwards or sidewards...classic example when he had the ball in the centre of the ground and looked behind when he had a man on his own just inside the fifty.

thats more the gameplan than grigg - grigg is the linkman and he is playing his role very very well - he showed quick hands ,poise , good footskills and some nice defensive work today.

It is the game plan. Players are instructed to look for the handball to a player running past in the backline so you're relying as much on the player being there are you are on your own disposal.

For those who thought Grigg was quiet...you probably thought it was Bower when he had the ball.

One of these 2 will win a brownlow as everyone gets confused between them.
