Is it true we signed up Carazzo and Scotland to 2 year deals last season for around $350-$400k per season?

Would we be right in assuming Kreuzer, Browne and Armfield signed 3 year deals? Or is the standard for draftees 2 years?

I'm sure they would have been two-years. Murphy and Gibbs were both 2 years.

Ackalnds 3rd year was to be an option depending on whether he finished in the top 12 of the B & F ( straight from a previous Board member).

He will not be there in 2009 as the club will not give him the chance to place in the B&F.

At the time I though it was a bit generous to give him the third year if he performed well but now it seems like the board new more about him than Pagan's crew.

I think Jackson was only promoted onto the senior list this year from the rookie list. I could be wrong but I think the standard is a 2 year deal.

Dick says he wants Fevola for 3 years.
I'd say we will sign him soon for 3 years.

Correct - Judd signed for 6 years NOT 5 years as widely reported (source - The Age http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/jake-n ... tml?page=4)

Clog and dagger

Quote:
IT is about this time of the year that clubs out of the picture or next address what one football heavyweight described to me as “list clogging”.

That is, identify players sitting on club lists with no great prospect of enhancing their team’s chances of winning a flag...

Quote:
...Carlton is on the move, and will keep moving by clearing out Cain Ackland, Jason Saddington and Ryan Houlihan. The Blues must turn to their youngsters rather than revert to veterans who have had their day.

Tough calls need to be made on players who are not going to play a role in positioning a club for a tilt at a premiership..

Who agrees with Mr Lyon?

2/3rds of the list that Lyon sees as clogging up the lists would know they're on borrowed time. Pretty straightforward i would have thought

However the players that he names such as Houlihan flies in the face of the article the Hun had of us bloggers cyber bullying footballers. I would have thought a player would have higher suicidal tendencies from reading a newspaper read by half the Victorian population than reading crap posted on boards such as this    All people i know wouldn't give a flying fig receiving critiscism from places such as this but when it comes from a supposed peer its a completely different situation.

How could he not have Joel Bowden in that list for Richmond, i know Polak isn't that great but i would have thought he'd have a crap load more value to the Tiger team than Joel "supercoach team" Bowden. Quite a few years younger too.

In regards to Houlihan, when fit, is well inside our best 22 and therefore there would be others in front of him clogging up the list.
