The game against the Dawks in R22 should get 60,000 and the game against to Kangapoos should attract 50,000.

Those 2 will be at Docklands and probably pull 30 - 35,000.

No good!

50% less at the dome? Based on what imaginary theory?

I wonder how this would have been received if Andy Maher or Mark Robinson had written it... :?

The fact that we hold the record at the dome and that it happened when we were as shit as we've ever been suggests it's not big enough to fit our supporters for some of the games we're currently playing there.

I've got no problem staying there against interstate teams and low drawing locals but we're going to see an increasing number of lock-outs as we get better on field and regardless of the financials that's not good long term.

Nothing wrong with the article. Half the people in here want to be at the G full time but somehow Caro's "biased" and hates us.

If we can switch a few big drawing games to the G and not lose out why not try it?

If it doesn't happen we wait until we're closer to the end of the deal and do it then.

Havan't read all the thread but I thought the article was spot on and still reckon we should have gone to the MCG.
There is no doubt in my mind that Collo had a conflict of interest here. he needed docklands to have another big name tenant and Carlton had the carrot.
Harry the blind miner can see that the dome isn't big enough for us. it isn't big enough for Essendon* either.
The sooner we can renegotiate this deal the better we will be financially from the gate takings.
Caro might or might be biased against us.
She also might or might not be the brunt of our jokes but I think she has hit the nail on the head with this one.

Interesting that you get your figure from the lowest estimate compared to the highest estimate  are you a journo??

I think that the way the Dawks are going, we should expect a crowd of approx 60k if at the G. At the Dome we could get 35k and yes, maybe 40 but I reckon alot of people including me, would much prefer to go to the G knowing you're not getting squeezed in like sardines.

As for the Roos, well, at the dome maybe 35k at the G maybe 45-50k - does that make you happier - Collo

It was also a very happy hunting ground in the 90s ant the early part of the 00's.

You obviously never went there on a regular basis.

Social club week in week out and i miss it.

Times have a changed and take a look at the crowds we are pulling now. Imagine when become a top 4 side

Melvey good point on the crowds. We're averaging 60 something thousand I think at home. Sad to say it but PP will never be back. But to win a flag you have to win it at the G, so I'd rather play all home games there than the dome

You have to win games at the Dome to make the GF though and play on the G right????

A good side can play anywhere.....

We play more thanor around 11 games at the G a year....
