Nope, blame Collo,

Collo was just a devious accessory to the AFL agenda... it all gets back to Jack.

Well we had the choice of accepting millions of $'s to move to Telstra, or squat to move to the G (ok money, but the AFL refusing to schedule us there). For a club as badly in debt as we were, I think the choice was a no-brainer. Also, how can we know for sure we wouldn't have sucked just as much (or more) if we played at the G every week?

I've got no love for Collo, but despite his own agenda I don't see how he had any choice in this matter. It all comes back to Jack. He left us in a sorry state, and then we would be punished again because of his past sins and arrogance. Does anyone think we would've been punished so heavily had it not been Jack in charge?

Stupid article.
The TD was the perfect venue for last nights game on a freezing cold rainy night in Melbourne. 39,000 was a record for a Carlton v Brisbane game.
The best fit for us is probably a 7-4 MCG/TD split

i thought our deal at the dome was as good as the bombers in terms of break even? Cant remember the figures but thought it was around 27 000 or maybe it was 30 000. Anyway at the time it was touted as the best deal.

Agreed with some of the posters- another anti-Carlton diatribe from Caro....

On another tack about Caro....how can her story re. Sam Newman justify front-page treatment when there are news of concern, for eg; the humanitarian crises in Myanmar and China. I'm not demeaning the attack on Caro- however, she has/had great support to withstand that idiot Sam and again, another example of Caro being a footballing celebrity- enough is enough! (I'm referring to her article in last Saturday's Age, 17/5)

Gee thanks Caro - whats your Mastermind Specialty Category - "Stating the Bleeding Obvious".

Carlton have enjoyed record membership since the AFL's hatchet job on our club - ably aided and abetted by you.

Go an flower yourself - maybe there are ways you can find a use for a department store mannequin other than as a cloths horse.

stupid points in the story but I agree with the suggestion in dumping the dome, however playing Brisbane would remain there......

Id hate to see us play the Lions at the G, or the Shockers - and end up with 25,000.

Lets do the sensible thing and schedule interstate matches at the dome, and all vic teams at the G.

At least Carro is bringing it to the punters attention. Something needs to be done as we, and the MCG, were shafted by the AFL.

I can understand that stalwart supporters lament the loss of Princes Park as our home ground but we need to leave the past behind us. I'm all for reducing our Telstra Dome games to those against interstate clubs but to suggest a return to Princes Park is letting misty eyes cloud your vision.

Yes, best suggestion so far. 7 at the G (against Vic teams), 4 at the Dome (against interstate teams).

It was also a very happy hunting ground in the 90s ant the early part of the 00's.

You obviously never went there on a regular basis.
