It all gets back to Elliott for putting us in such a powerless position. We were screwed well and truly.

Collo was just a devious accessory to the AFL agenda... it all gets back to Jack.

Need to be a fast running team that can run and carry and break the lines at the dome. Chipping the ball around the boundary line doesn't work there.
Britten sumed it up well when he said "you need to learn how to play basketball there".

Very interesting article...

what about the AFL telling the MCG that they wouldn't schedule Carlton games there? Screwed by Demitriou again

When does the deal expire?

Its actually a moronic article.
Wilson was for Collo at the time.. and she wrote alot of pro Collo stories ..
Now she talks abut how we got less than our averageturnout at the Dome last night.. (just under 39,000) DURRRRRRRRRRR Fred... we played the Brisbane Lions...and fortunately we didnt have to sit in the rain all night ....if it rained...

When the time is right we probaby will make a break for the MCG... at the moment it sits us exactly how it is...

Caro should write more articles about Richmond...

DUC the deal was 10 years .. which is i think 6 more years?

Pretty sure it was effective for the 2005 season so that would leave 6 after this year.

Thanks Synners - 6 years is a very long time.

Wet cold miserable night playing an interstate side and still got 39 000. Reasonable crowd I would have thought. When we signed up for the Dome, we were as a club pretty much out of options and flat broke. We did as well as we could at the time given the circumstances.

Bare in mind that the interstate club used to be a Victorian club in a former life.

I actualy think the mix is good for us..

Maybe 6 MCG and 5 at the Dome would be better.... than 5 and 6 .. but we play the main games at the G.
You still have to know how to play at both grounds to be a great side... (see Geelong)

A good side will play strongly on all surfaces and shape grounds.

Were starting to sound like Leyton HEwitts wanting a particular kind of court surface to be competitive........ but of course he isnt any more... cos he aint good enough now...

Build the side properly... win games of footy.. and youll be surprised how good a mix of Dome and G games works...

Lose games... we will be deflecting with excuses forever and ever....

Spot on Synbad, article without a shred of proof. Who holds the record attendance at the Dome again? Isn't it us, in a season where we won 4 games and finished 15th. And playing last night at the G, how many would we have got. Clearly the AFL were calling the shots, they schedule the games and the club was broke. I like the dome for night games and day games against low pulling oppo like interstate sides. Also we need to take account of paying customers, I would have thought many more neutral AFL and MCC members would go to the G, adding to the crowd but not the revenue.

Another typically shoddy anti Carlton piece by Caro. She ought to forget about being a multimedia star and just be a reasonable journo, without bias and with some semblance of research. No-one has home grounds anymore and e are in a long term deal the AFL wants. What option do we have to walk away? She is running out of things to attack us for

I doubt we would have pulled a bigger than 39,000 crowd at the G last nightshes having abit of a paddle on herself me thinks...

And fancy talking rubbish like she does and then feeling offended when Newman takes the Mickey out of her...

Find a story Caro!!!... like a real story...!!!

If and when this club decides to make changes we will let you know... we dont need you as our strategist to go forward...

Amazingly dumb article....
