According to the club, we are sitting on 38,300 and not 38,500. :(

It's weird, we were going great guns then it really slowed down when everyone expected it to go better after a few wins.

I don't know why anyone is disappointed with these numbers. Up from a record by 10% with huge upside to our list in the coming years is a great position to be in.

This is a big step forward and there remains a vast Carlton following fan base for us to work in with. I think we still have someway to go with our communications given the Club site crashes all but my work computer, so with more wins or more solid performances from some youngsters more people will climb on board.

We'll overtake Essendon* for sure in time, just let it happen.

it says in the paper today that the bombers have hit 40k for the first time ever.

C'Mon Blue Boys........ we should be able to make 40k.

We'd easily hit 40K if the Club decided to try and get the supporters in Sydney on side, instead of neglecting us.

Play one match up here each year for 3 or 4 years straight, and you watch the membership numbers rise up here.

You know it makes sense.

the numbers themselves are great. but relative to Collingwood 40k+, Essendon* 40k+ and Hawthorn 39k+, Carlton 38k+ would be nice to be 1st or 2nd.

Look out Abaddon's here, we just lost 20,000 members off the database.

Oh me oh my.

"WA Carlton Football Club Membership is at a new record level. As at the 22/4/08 there are 2341 paid club members up from last years record of 2124. Congratulation goes to all members for once again making WA the biggest CFC membership base outside of Victoria."

Thank our long line of WA players going back to Premiership Captain Ern Henfry in the 1940s - for the deep affinity that our WA fans have with the Carlton Football Club:

- Ern Henfry
- Syd Jackson
- Mike Fitzpatrick
- Ken Hunter
- Peter Bosustow
- Jon Dorotich

Probably many others that I have missed there.

Great effort...

...and all with only ONE game play at Subi (bet the game was worth it though  )

Hear that KK - ONE game. :P

I was about to tie that in to a reference with us playing at least a game in Sydney - but we don't.

So that's kinda stiff. Guess you can always move to Melbourne!!

Two games in SA though, wonder how their interstate membership is tracking...

You play one in Sydney each year for 3-5 years straight, and you'll get membership numbers like that in NSW. Not the one every so often we have at the moment.

Carlton may as well stay away from Sydney unless the game is at homebush.

I will not go to the SCG again.

As long as you buy your membership, that's OK.

It's slowed down a bit on this time (last 30 days) last year but from this date forward last year we added nearly 3000 members.

why not? I much prefer the SCG for footy, nicer area as well, easier to get to etc etc.

As I said earlier the International Memberships from the the off-shore divisions of Visy are yet to come through. 8)
