Correct me if I'm wrong but has any other player ever kicked the first goal 3 times in a season or within such a short time frame?

Marc Murphy from my recollection has kicked the first goal of the game 3 times this season already. For the Murphy fanatic putting money on him for first goal you would have to be close to paying your mortgage off by now?

What about his odds for first goal now? Lets hope the betting agencies don't bring his price down.

PS: Don't tell everyone, this is my secret

Because now I know it's Murph, I'm not letting the odds drop ;)

All I know is Hamill (cough, sputter, pewk..) kicked the first goal against Hawthorn in our away match against them in 2000 at around the 2:30 mark.

Won me $300 from the Hawks social club (it had been jackpotting for about a month) and the Hawthorn members all hated me.. Right up until we put $100 on the bar!

I'd rather put my money on him for the Rising Star. I mean, 42 possessions on Friday? He's a cert to be nominated this week. :-D

i remember as a little boy i used to fill in the record, there was a page where you got to fill in the name of the first goalkicker and etc. and from what i can remember, more often than not aaron hamill used to kick the first goal of the game. bear in mind that small amounts seem really big when you're small so it mighn't be as much as i think but there were multiple occasion when hamill did kick the first goal of the game.
