He's one of ours, so flower back him till you have your facts rignt!

He stupidly put himself under scrutiny - I would say he same about any player who did it.

He didn't stupidly do anything. There was no case to answer, so how can you make that comment?

Was my Smurph stupid? What about Judd for wrestling? You didn't happen to bag them did you Punter?

Great news as I was one to think Fev might have copped at least 1 or 2 (although I didn't really see it more than once).

A couple of years ago, in my opinion the tribunal would have given him weeks for that .. but now we are a real chance to knock off the lions & dockers at the dome.

Question: If brown doesn't play this week in Vic vs All-Star game and pulls out, that means that he won't be able to play against the blues right according to the AFL rule that they brought in?

Brown missed the game against the Cats, so I don't think the rule applies in this case.

No I don't believe thats the case as that is only what Leigh Matthews is stating in the press. I am quite certain that he will be forced to sit it out .. but could be proven wrong

Phew!
I reckon we are now a real chance to beat the Lions, especially considering that Black has OP and Brown will be doubtful.

But if missed the game on the weekend what grounds do the AFL have to make an issue out of it?

It's not like he played and suddenly got injured. I doubt that Matthews would have pulled him out of Saturday's game to avoid him playing for the Vics.

Last year when the game was announced the AFL said they would suspend those who missed the Vic/DT game but played the next week. However given the support from players for the 150th anniversary game the AFL decided they wouldn't suspend players.

Although the Lions will want Brown to miss out, just like we would like Juddy to rest this week, Brown will be under pressure (from the AFL) to play as he has been the face of the game and captain of Victoria.

If he doesn't play you would think crowd numbers would fall and the AFL will end up with egg on their face :P :P

what a surprise.

I felt sure that he was going - not because it was anything, but just because it was Fev.

Maybe Mr McKay was on the match review panel!!

Good stuff.

I just hope Fev has a good chaperone this weekend - I'm a bit nervous.

Michael Gleeson has a go in the Age today claiming it was a definitive punch to Selwood.

He compares it to Lovett-Murray - which I didn't see - and says Fev should have been suspended. I know I was watching the game with my navy blue glasses on but I didn't see a punch.

Macca WAS on the match review panel for Fev's incident.

I'm sure these guys aren't concsiously biased, but it's good to have Carlton people in positions of power, isn't it?

What about Goodes this guy can punch anyone in the league and get off. The tribunal has set a president already.

A punch in the stomach is is hard to prove the severity with a camera views.

Glad he got off but still very silly by FEV- had the game won why put anything else in jeopardy -Two winnable games coming up but not really winnable without Fev
