There'll be a similar article this time next year talking about how Judd and Fev talked our boom recruit into joing us during the exhibition Victoria vs everyone game.

"How Carlton got Jonathon Brown"

This is exactly how it happened, The exact words from Richard Pratt,

Swanny after being appointend as our C.E.O walked into Pratt's office, shock hands, Swanny sat down and Pratt said said to him,

" I got you, the best in the business, you get me Judd, the best in the business".

That was exactly how the begining of getting Chris Judd to Carlton began.

Hmm, wasn't it Elliott's idea to get Pratt? So maybe big John is ultimately responsible for getting Judd?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

It ultimately comes back to the MEMBERS. It was the members who voted to remove Smorgon, thus allowing Pratt to step in, to hire Swann, to get Judd...

I hope I never again hear a Carlton supporter, when unhappy with what is happening at the Club, threaten to tear up their Membership, or not renew their Membership. It was Membership that caused the changes that got Judd. If we had all torn up our Memberships, Smorgon would still be President, Malouf CEO, and Judd would be wearing black and white stripes.

Remember...Membership has its privalages...and the privalege in this case is Judd.

I was first told about it on the train going to the night Grand Final, the woman sitting opposite me just started chatting and said "you won't believe me but we are getting Judd next season" she then went on to try and explain some sort of connection between the Pratts and the Judds.
