I am starting to think that these sports scientists are not really helping in keeping players on the park.
Last week Ratts mentioned that they have been under heavy training for the last couple weeks to keep the fitness up with the view to keep the boys a bit fresher for rounds 6 & 7. Is this heavy workload the reason for all the injuries that have our guys going down like flies? So far during or imediatly after this ramp up in training we have the following injuries.
Dennis Armfield – Hamstring
Jordan Bannister – Hamstring
Richard Hadley – Groin
Adam Hartlett – Hamstring
Sam Jacobs – Ankle
Jason Saddington – Hamstring
Bret Thornton – Knee
Bryce Gibbs - Back
Cameron Cloke - Knee
Steven Browne - Hamstring
As well as Fev & Judd looking a bit tired against Adelaide.
Is it just me that thinks that there is a link to all this or am I just looking too hard for our poor run of luck in the last couple of weeks.
Maybe it's because for once they are actually being trained like a professional outfit and their groins & hammies aren't used to it.
