When are people going to stop wrapping players in cotton wool all their lives?! Regardless of whether they are sponsored by us or otherwise.
A flat out 'he's shit' is one thing (and yes I've said this before) but some people are stating constructive criticism in regards to Russell's shortcomings on the field...
..and instead of dealing with the issues these people are bringing up - it's a lot easier to bag out the poster full stop.
This isn't directed at any one person - more directed at people who love to give their opinions as 'the correct one', and choose to belittle or simply dismiss the poster that begs to differ.
Who is the childish one then?!
Are we aloud to express opinion without being attacked with no rebuff on our points whatsoever? Or must everybody toe the line of the majority opinion in order to have their views appreciated...
Makes TC appear as less of a forum, and more of a 'toe the line or your out' clique.

the incessant bagging of jordan russell has become rubbish and like it or not TC sponsor the kid - so it makes a mockery for the site to be littered with rubbish posts out and out bagging the kid.

i havent seen too much constructive criticism of his game or skills - what i have seen is sheep jumping on a rotting bandwagon trying to be cool doing what they think is the "in" thing.

criticism of JR was warranted a month ago - but the past 3 weeks JR has shown much improvement and for that warrants praise.

I am in no way saying JR is awesome and is the best player in the world - but his effort and development should be commended and supported not continually rubbished by rubbish posts.

I cant see why people are expecting him or us for that matter to be world beaters with such an inexperienced list - relax , sit back and enjoy the ride - its a bumpy one but as long as the boys try their guts out and play with passion and pride then we should be happy - you cant bemoan skill errors from kids this early in their careers - they need more time.

all we can ask for is improvement and right now JR is showing that.

Imagine if you knew the player, were friends with a player or even related...what if Jordan was your brother....would you be happy to see some of the comments here?
Please bear in mind that we do on occassion have players friends or family visit here...and who knows, there may even be the odd player visit as well.

How about giving the boy a break? Yes he has taken longer than we would like to develop. His fault? The club's fault? Perhaps a combination?

But this year we have a completely different set of parameters....new coach, new assistants, new training regimes, new playing personnel....

Jordy has been given slightly more opportunity this year...and each week has shown a little bit more. Gee, he still made mistakes? Fancy that.

But how about we focus on the improvements? His more aggressive running this week. Those crunching tackles he laid.

I can remember the "supporters" near me who wanted players like Sexton to be culled from the list 'coz they'd "never make it"...

Maybe he won't improve fast enough for the footy club....but gee it must be harder knowing your own supporters are so hard.

You can't be a real supporter, you don't hang shit left right and centre on our entire playing list.
