With Harts and T-bird going down and us getting smashed in the ruck, i hope the big Irish brothers see this as an opportunity to show us what they made of and both have absolute blinders tomorrow.

Would be fantastic to see Setanta and Aisake take the field next week against the Eagles and rip em apart.

Good thoght Melv. (I can call you Melv, right?) :)

How did the Irish brothers go in the magoos - anybody know?

Here's a chance for some strong bodied players to have a crack. How Hammer going, is he in the mix too?

yep, the ants are playing tomorrow (sunday), at PP, but according to the weather report, its gonna be a good day for eskimos, so im not sure how the brothers will go.
i' be surprised if Carlos doesnt get another run next week, with T-bird out for at least 5 weeks (according to the radio), this might be the chance for him to prove his worth in the backline. Aisake would have to be an unlikely starter though, not with cloke and krooze doing so well. nice thinking outside the box though, melvey

Not necessarily - I liked our set up earlier in the season when we had Cloke, Kreuzer and Hampson all in the one side. One in the ruck, one in the forward line and one on the bench and constant rotations. Kreuzer, Hampson and Aisake are all extremely mobile and so dont make us too top heavy or slow if two are in the team with Cloke.

yeah, true, you raise a good point. i didnt take hammer into account, but i was more along the line of the experience, with them taking on cox. is hammer fit, or still injured? if he is fit, i'd like to think he would almost be an automatic selection

Hampson has to play if fit......we got towelled by a no name random in Griffin. No use havinga decent midfield if we cant at least break even in the ruck.
I'd bring in Santy to play down back........we could have used him vs the bigger Tippett today..

I'd love it if Setanta came back in.

Even better if we slipped out the wildcard Aisake.

Barring injury or an absolutely shocker of a game Setanta should play next week just because we have nobody else to turn too.

Aisake would have to show a bit more intent then he showed last week if he's to get his shot.

I thought Aisake played pretty good last week. Remember he plays in the ruck. He no buddy franklin. Ratts said during the week that Aisake is close to senior selection

I do agree you have to earn your spot, but i do believe that we should try as many youngsters as possible. They need some exposure to AFL footy, see what they can produce, keep up with the pace, have a taste of it.
