Fev traded = the Tank back on....

Keep Fev = (Tanking >= 2009)

And the basis of you saying this is????

I believe he is awesome now and maybe will have one more awesome year, but my basis is:
Past his peak, groins are gone, his leap will be smaller, will lose his X-Factor, will be slower and find it hard to chase, will not be as influential and will crack the sh*ts more because he is frustrated.

So if all this is so obvious, why would a team give us a first round pick, capabale of getting us Hurley, for him?

A team like the doggies, or Adelaide might think they're close and all they need is a key FF like Fev to get them over the line once or twice. Even the Hawks who have a very young list could put a Fev in the side and become un-stoppable. They might be prepared to give something of value.

Having said that, it'd need to be substantial to consider a trade. Otherwise I'd make him earn his next big contract with a 1 year teaser. Seems Swanny isn't going to go down that path. I hope their confidence is paid back.

I'm happy to talk about a non issue. I have it from a very good and reliable sauce (A cousin of a friends godfathers brother in law's sons teacher) Fev will sign a 2 year deal. Stipulated on the contract is that he will not drink alcohol during the season, and will only have coke. :shock:

I would suggest that any contract talk be left to the end of the year.
Today was an example why.

he'll stay, Ratts was just saying that Fev is not guaranteed a new contract because he doesnt want the simple minded genius to get ahead of himself and undo all of his good work. today was a great example of Fev's improvement - limited opportunites, poor delivery, his kicking was off today and he was double and triple teamed, but he still chased hard and long, and his second efforts were still very good. As ratts said, he would rather see fev lay 100 tackles than kick 100 goals.. i, on the other hand, would take the goals
