I'm only posting the stuff that is relevant to Carlton. Nothing really exciting or revealing. Good news that Murph is in contract discussions though.

- Said Fev will probably get > than a one year deal. Will most probably talk contact mid season.

- SEN played Luke Darcy's comment on SEN that he believes Blues should use Fev as a trade bait at end of 08.

- GS said Luke Darcy's comment is silly.

- Murphy is in discussion to sign new contract.

- No rookie replacement for Houlihan as yet.

- Said Adelaide this week will be a good test.

- Says Aisake is in good form for the Ants in the ruck. Improving a lot. Says Aisake is still a chance. But others are playing well too (ie. Cloke, Kreuze). If one of them goes down, Aisake may get a chance.

- Says keen to do a Carlton Vs Tigers on Good Friday. But no Anzac day matches at this stage. Says Demetriou not a supporter, but others in the AFL are not as against it as they once were.

- Says at the minute, Fev is the main goal kicker. But Fisher is coming into a bit of form. Kreuzer will play out of the pocket, and Hartlett is in good Ants' form and may also be a chance too.

- Says Fev's second efforts have been good.

- Says it's been good getting the monkey off Carlton's back (especially the coaches') after our two wins.

- Says spoke to a lot of religious groups about Good Friday, and that most religious activities are finished early in the day, and Carlton is proposing a twilight game to appease the religious groups.

- Says he is quite confident that a Good Friday game will go ahead.

- Says with the redevelopment of the club, there'll be cafes and function rooms for supporters to hang out.

- Says keep things off happen late in the quarter because we have previously had goals kicked on us late in the quarter. Just playing some tempo footy late in the quarter.

- Says he doesn't think the Carlton jumper clashes with any Melbourne team, but it's the AFL's call. Says AFL knows Carlton wants to play as many games in the blue jumper as possible.

That's all folks!

Great report exsing, thanks for that! :-D

Some interesting stuff in there, albeit run of the mill, but just great to hear some balanced, level-headed, simple, and direct yet non-controversial statements from Swanny.

What a difference a year makes with a smooth operator at the helm....

Amazing that christians continue to believe that the rest of the world should stop to celebrate their holy days and not those of all other religions.

Though I'm an aetheist I'm all for religious tolerance but I can't seem to remember too many other religions insisting that the broader community should desist from their normal activities in reverence to their specific belief system.

Agree totally. We should respect people's beliefs. But why force all the others to conform?

Then lets get rid of Good Friday as a public holiday for Christians and let assign the game on Friday night to whoever!
