Either Hampson (if not injured) or Browne to come in for him

Why would we bring in a ruckman for a midfielder?

Rotten luck for Banno. Plenty (me included) have called for his head the last few years, but he has become very solid in the roles he's given. Every team needs a Banno. He'll bounce back no dramas.

Chances to Armfield, maybe Browne if he's ready. Shame that Ando is always injured. Anyway, that's why we need depth....there's always an injury or 2.

To get senior games in to Hammo.

Cloke to play CHF, with Kroooze and Hammo in the ruck or rest Kroooze of ruck duties this week, play him up forward and have Hammo and Cloke ruck.

The likes of Browne, Armfield, Benjamin, Hammo etc need senior exposure. Give them a taste of AFL footy even if they don't rack up the possies they can apply pressure, get use to the speed of the game and understand even further what it takes.

Back luck for Jordan as he was playing consistent footy.

Bannister out and Gibbs In. There is something to be said for bringing in Hartlett for CHF as we fell down there badly last weekend and with him Fevola and Fisher it provides more marking targets. That would probably mean Carlos out. However I think the MC may leave the team otherwise unchanged and use Grigg or Russell in Bannister's role.

That still leaves the backline largely unchanged and gives the kids more experience ( Grigg Gibbs Bower Pfeiffer Jamison Rusell Murphy). Browne and Armfield may not be the ideal choice for the taller utility type role or be able to play against Edwards or McLeod down back.

fully agree, let russell have a footy lesson and see what he can do, maybe he needs to be given a specific role rather than run around and make mistakes. grigg, i think has the pace to match mcleod this week, but i dont think he has the experience to keep him in check as mcleod seems in great form. Bentick or carrazzo could do the job - carrots has done it in the past - and our midfield is now strong enough to allow carrots to play as a stopper who could also rebound. but i'd also like to see Austin get a run, he looks a likely type.
it is a shame for banno, as he seems rejuvinated this year under a new coach, and he has always had the talent, hope he gets back soon. i'll admit, i have never been a huge fan, but this year he has impressed me greatly, and has been a major part of the 22.
or we could bring in ackland....

I understand why you'd want to give Hampson a game, but surely you understand team balance and all that. If you're going to bring Hampson in it has to be at the expense of a tall.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't Hammer been injured and missed the past two weeks in the Bullants? No way he should be brought in if that is the case.

Now thats something we can agree on.

I wouldn't be devastated if we brought Wiggins in, but a big NO to the others.

Saddington missed last week and Ackland played his first game so I wouldn't be too worried about them coming in just yet.

Saddington will not play for at least a week due to a hamstring injury.

That is quite sad news actually, Bannister is a great half-back and tagger. As also mentioned, he is having probably his best season to date.

So that leave Bannister, Houlihan & Russell on the injury list. We're starting to drop like flies!

This is a MASSIVE loss for you club, he is the one player who can claim the Mr FIX IT tag, dont know how we can replace him.

For the people who are saying to play Gibbs in that role should get their head checked. Number 1 draft picks dont play as taggers or defenders, they're match winners, game breakers and Gibbs can be that on the ball/ half forward.

Play Armfield for the next 4 weeks, mature body, played senior football before. Wasnt that the reason why we got him???
