Didnt see this anywhere else but apologies if it's already been posted.

Quote:
Carlton defender Jordan Bannister is expected to be sidelined for the next four weeks after rupturing a hamstring tendon behind his right knee. Although managing to play out the game at the MCG on Sunday, the full extent of Bannister’s injury only became apparent following the match. Bannister joins fellow Blue Ryan Houlihan on the injury list. Houlihan will have surgery on his right hip on Thursday to repair torn cartilage.

Shit house news...

But that's the sound of opportunity knocking for an aspiring defender.

Sorry to hear that, he was playing well and showed he could be a handy player for us. Hope he gets back soon.

He limped off the ground with about 6 minutes to go and that was reported on the radio that it looked like a hammy. Seriously bad luck for Jordon - he's having his best season yet IMO and will be very hard to replace.

Not good timing for Banno, poor bugger, as he was doing well. Hope he heals well.

Enter Army?...

Just when he was solidifying his spot in the team too. You have to feel sorry for the guy, but on the other hand this may give an opportunity to Armfield or Brown to kick start their careers.

Fair call... I would reckon he will come straight back in when fit - which may be around the same time as 1AW!

Shithouse news- my favourite player.. will be much harder to replace then Houlihan and Id put the impact of his injury on par with Fishers injury early this year re: how much it would affect our fortunes

Ditto....hope when he does come back he does well as a poor finish to the season could see him in the out basket which would be very unfair given his start to this season....

Terrible news for Banno and Carlton.

I believe he had just about cemented a spot in the 22 this year as a utility; Mr Fix it (without being flashy).

We need this kind of bloke in the team. He's been dependable, solid and tough. I love the way he flies the flag and sticks up for his team mates. His shepherding was becoming a feature.

Bad luck, Get well soon.

Bannister has been outstanding for us so far this season. I think he will be difficult to replace. It's a shame... he really seemed to be getting the best out of himself.

Still... now is the time for Armfield and Browne to compete and try and cement a spot in our top line-up.

I think the opinion of Banno is much higher with the coaches than the supporter group in general so I think he has a future at the club regardless of this set back.

He looks more assured this year and consistent. The injury is a setback but he'll get back and be right
