Yeah - sticks is right. CHF is a glaring problem. The number of those gentle around the boundary build ups that break down at CHF - crazy.

I wouldn't mind seeing us have a crack down the middle one time as well.

Harltett - it's up to you (or Cloke)

fev had a meh day ??!?!

Yeah I know that's a rough call Grr - but the group of us watching thought he was kinda meh.

Um, what do I mean? We didn't think he had as much influence on the game as he did the previous two weeks (and STILL kicked 7!).

Yeah, I know it sounds a bit silly - but he just didn't do it for me. And, this is the thing, I'm not bagging the dude. His pressuring was wonderful - his goal kicking was incredible ... ok, I see what I've done here ...

I feel a bit silly now in hindsight. He had a great game, didn't he? Maybe it was the double-teaming that influenced us ...

No - come on man - don't back down here. Stand by your statements, damn it. But - but the evidence is compelling! Shit, damn it. Maybe - maybe you WERE wrong. Bugger.

Go fev

I was hoping to see this today aswell, we had a good lead and was the perfect time to try different things. Having said that though you cant blame them for wanting to hold on to the lead.

Pros:

1. We won a game that had to be won. Not to avoid any records or any of that nonsense, but simply because good teams don't drop games to rabble like the Dees. That is a definate on-field improvement in my books.

2. We played well when the game was there to be won. Sure we didn't run the game out and that's something to work on. But we played well and put the result beyond doubt in the first half. That is a huge improvement over playing well in the 4th quarter after the game has already been lost. Again a big improvement over recent seasons.

3. We can play better and will need to next week.

Cons:

1. Forward line is rubbish. Yes Fev played well, but it doesn't matter how many he kicks, we're still two forwards short of a finals side IMO.

2. Too many players seemed disinterested this week. Where was the team effort of last week?

3. Overdoing the Tempo footy. We're losing all our run, and tempo only works if the players up the field work hard to provide leads. Not enough players did that this week.

Remember that when Cotchin arrives and does some special things.....which he will. :P

I know you will remember Danny but others won't. Still Special K is Special. His work-rate will mean he will rarely play a shocker or be out of the game for more that a quarter or two. He just hunts the ball like it is his life-force.

I wrote this review last year about him and he is playing the same way in the AFL. He simply knows no other way.

TAC RD 7 vs Qld at Preston. Ground abit rough, dry with a strong wind. NK won by 8 goals after a 9 gl to 1 1st quarter.
Played ruck, forward and back. Dominated the game. Basically put on a clinic. The exciting thing about Kreuzer is his desire to totally dominate every contest he can get to and he gets to a lot. His 2nd and 3rd efforts to win the ball from a ruck contest are a joy to watch.

Unlike most bigmen who will block for the small guys to get the ball he would rather get it himself. He wants the ball like few others and he generally gets it in the contest. Wins more contested ball on the ground than most onballers. He even had 4 or 5 handball receives as he charged through the middle of the ground. He actually plays like a 199cm ruck rover. Terrific aerobic capacity. Uses the ball smartly by hand and foot. Top 2 draft pick at this time and easily the best player on the east side of Australia. Amazingly consistent so far in 2007.

And the best thing is he is just a ripper kid from a terrific family. He deserves to succeed.

Regards Cazzesman

Yes but it was even softer than the Stevens report from last week. Will be laughed out of the match review panel, and will be added to the increasingly growing 2008 umpiring hall of shame

Really funny interview on ABC after the game. They asked Kreuzer for a little analysis regarding his second and third efforts...

Kreuzer: "Yeah I try to get the tap out and then I try to get the ball..."

You could almost hear the commentators flick off their mikes to cover up the laughter.

Great kid but definitely whacked with the footballer stick when it comes to public speaking.
