and good on setanta - i mentioned during the game in the gameday thread that setanta appears to be a forward - he just needs to stay there and learn

( i think hartlett is ahead of him though and setanta should learn to be a forward for the ants)

They probably had 50 questions all about tanking, losing streaks, 100pt defense etc that they had nothing else to actually ask about after the result the other day. They would've been absolutely filthy that we won.

Carro couldn't help herself. Loved the way she jabbed in a tank jibe and followed it up with "but let's not go into that now" Well, bitch, you just did.

@#$%&! her and her new hair and makeup do. They must have raided the brickies tool box for application devices last night.

To have 2 so called highly respected journalists on the panel & then serve up such a pitiful interview was disrespectful to Ratts.

Ratts offered his time in good faith, before we won on Sunday, then had his time wasted, & ours, with questions that most posters on TC could have answered.

Isn't that segment called 'In the hot seat'?

I've heard harder questions asked & more heated debates at my daughters grade prep Parents Association meetings.

If I was Ratts I would've responded "No, let's go into that. You've got something to say, say it. We're sick of this shit and it's time to put it to rest. Let's put your journalistic integrity to the test"

Ratts played a very straight bat and pretty much said nothing.

Not that they asked him anything that tricky to start with.

What a terrible interview.

It was clear that they only invited ratts on to turn the heat on him when we lost to collingwood.

We won, and they had nothing. It was actually pretty funny.

I made a point of watching because ratts was coming on, but I won't bother again. Footy Confidential makes On The Couch look like Emmy award-winning television.

Oh, and Glen Archer is woeful. Despite being the Shinboner of the Century.

Archer is a fool, tries to score points off Caro and fails miserably - not sure how long his 'what a top bloke' personality will keep him employed for.

I'm glad the show isn't live and Ratts could salvage something from his evening - does his still live out in the sticks? Waste of time and effort for him, when they went to the ad I couldn't believe that was the end of it.

It was a pretty lightweight interview, but I was impressed with Brett.
He seems to have fitted in to the job very well.
I would say he would be hard but fair with the players, and seems to
be able to help the players, and have a better feeling around the club.

After Sunday they seem to be on the right track.
Obviously being taught new ways to play the game depending on the opposition.
Lets hope it lasts. There will be hiccups, but we are on the way up gradually.

Exactly what I though, Don. I was disappointed he didn't chase the cow out of the paddock - so to speak. Chocco Williams would've asked her, but I'm glad we don't have him at the helm.

It really is a shit show.
Archer - Clearly out of his depth and has no idea what his talking about in off the field issues.
Lyon - Defends the boys who p[lay the game at all costs.
Fat man - Contradicts himself continuosly with absolutely no morals at all.
Carro - Fails the basic integrity of why she didn't put Wallace under the tank microscope after sending Gasper to the glue factory after 5 rounds. Not to mention TWs last game of 2007 and the "Dutch Auction" affair  .

Spot on. They are "Footy Contrived". The way they try to beat up what ever they can is pathetic. It's all about the gutter....; with the master of gutter hosting. It is really funny how helpless they look when there is none.
I watch on the couch instead - this show and the similar ones before on seven are far better.

Compared that crap with OTC and you see the difference with journos trying to become the news rather than reporting it.

Gerard, Wallsy and Mike crap all over Gazza, Hutchy, Caro and Arch!

I stayed up to watch Ratts "in the hot seat"- gee, I agree with you there AGRO; Caro has no integrity (and a very selective memory!). I'm sorry, but Caro (and Patrick Smith, for that matter) have little or no journalistic credentials whatsoever. AFL footy creates some worthwhile discussion when it involves all 16 clubs, not the bashing of one club to suit some jaundiced writers' and observers' particular agendas. Furthermore, Caro going on and on about James Brayshaw's non-appearance at the Norf/Dees game......gimme a break!

it was a woeful interview. Didn't press Ratts at all on the O'hAilpins which would have been quite interesting.

and the Shinboner of the Century - FFS - he is indeed woeful. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all that but flower me if he isn't one of the most boring flowers going around. And someone should remind him he's in the media now - stop saying "you guys in the media blah blah flower blah"..

I liked it better when the Ithinkhebonedher of the Century was on!

Shocking show. Painfully contrived, as has been said the journos create rubbish to give them some artificial argy bargy.

Archer is shocking.

So was Carey.

IMO the only player that would work on this excuse for a show is Aker.

On The Couch a far better footy show.

Compare it to 20 years ago - there are more journos on footy discussion shows than ever, meaning quite literally all news needs to be beaten and hyped up to within an inch of its life. Shocking for the game.

but, 'attendances are up' aren't they jabba...

Notice how when ever the Bitchmond/Holland discussion comes up she squirms and moves in her seat trying to move the conversation on.
Truly pathetic reporter and boy there a few of them currently, Hutchy included.

Disappointing interview. Their questions all needed to be rewritten after the win and they came up dry.

As much as i dislike her she does have a point there. All last week Brayshaw and Arocca were imploring their supporters to get to the game and that they wanted 30000+.

That's all well and good but when your president can't show up after being on Radio and TV telling their supporters to show up then i think the point is lost somewhere.

Personally i couldn't give a damn but the old saying goes that you have to "Practice watch you preach" and they were preaching hard core last week.

First time I've ever watched...It will be the last...

Reckon Ratten went in there with a grin firmly planted.....he knew he'd be immune to their shit after the win and all.

They are all really horrible people to look at on that show. They all have beedy little untrustworthy eyes....I'd rather watch a game of Soccer....honestly...what a shit show.

correct about them all being pricks on that show - Gaddy is compromised by his various friendships and what some people know about him, Hutchy is just a worm who knows he has no credibility so just tries to sensationalise and Arch is too thick to know anything.

Oh yeah, Carro is Carro, like the little girl with the curl "when she is good, she is very, very good, when she is bad she is horrid" (is that how it goes?)
