I love generic nature of the original ciriticism in the thread. Enough people might think it is about them to cause a decent free for all. Then again it could all just fizzle out to a 'brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt!'.

Ok, I'll feed the fire.

Ratten bashers - lay off. He's finally getting the team to gel together and play 4 quarters of football...

Pro-tankers, suck it in... That's one less game we need to win to avoid gettting the PP - THAT'S RIGHT!! NO TANKING!

Bannister bashers, he did his bit today, what did you do? Scoff beers and pies (I know I did! ) and watch the football and question him every time he got the ball. GUESS WHAT - HE GOT MORE POSSESSIONS THAN YOU TODAY!

Carlton bashers in general, sure this is a public forum - but do you really support Carlton?! Why knock the player, coach, Carlton's Auskick side... does it achieve anything?! Did it hurt today when we ACTUALLY WON!?!

Bet you must be devestated bashers out there, with nothing much to bitch and moan about for a whole week...

...though, no doubt, I'm sure you'll think of something.

LOOOL i have had my Fair share of Angry comments at some of the things we have done so far, But i am Safe lol. I feel Great. I said it prior to the game that i was feeling Positive & i could Smell a Win. All that because Judd & Stevens were showing Signs from last week that they were not far away from their Best.

before we dump fev we need to get rid of kroooozer. too slow and has no left foot. then murphy, has pace but cant take a big pack mark overhead. then gibbs, now he's a joke. can't tackle at all. next in libe is Judd. has a bit of pace and skills are average and doesnt kick enough goals.

who was behind the axing of livingston, mgrath, teague, sporn and co. they have a lot to answer to.

I believe you're one who wants Fev gone.

Mate honestly. I'm not just sayin this because of today or last week.. I've had this opinion ever since the millenium game. I know over the years we have been too Fev concious, but that doesn't mean you get rid of him. You bring in more options, Fish Edwards and you work out how to make Fev work for the team.

The only reason I would have considered a trade was because his mind was all over the shop. But now that he's off the booze.. look at the trend, 2006 no booze, 86 goals. 2008 off the booze, 2, 8, and 7 goals. And he doesn't whinge anymore, he's chasing harder etc. I think he'll get into a positive cycle and look out the rest of the AFL.

But basically players like this are just so rare. He is a natural born match winner and losing him would be such a big set back. He is close to the most devastating player in the league IMHO.

Ratten out-coached Shithouse yesterday - have to take the cap off to him. We needed to become defensive and we did. We needed to stop the turn-overs, and aside from a few, we did that too.

I won't apologise for cracking the shits after last weeks loss. It was one we should've won - but had we won last week, we might not have prepared like we did for this week - so I'm actually glad we lost last week - ifffffff ya know what I mean :? .

We finally win a game and the Mikkeys and the Sparkys of the world are angry at the fans.

Lets enjoy this win, lets celebrate this win. We are all one and we are all different animals so lets band together and enjoy that this team showed us something that we haven't witnessed for years.

Yesterday the light at the end of the tunnel got much brighter. :-D

It was a good win, possibly our best in 6 years given the quality of the opposition etc., But the idea that anyone who has criticised the team for losses to Essendon* and Richmond is disloyal, not a 'real' Carlton supporter etc is ridiculous.

We have been shocking for 6 years. I thought yesterday was great for our tackling, endeavour, intensity, even contribution, does that mean that the first 3 weeks performances suddenly become good, or that the last 6 years suddenly becomes good? We should be 4:1 after next week, we will be 2:3. Hope we continue to play with the discipline we showed yesterday, but blindly accepting poor perfomances in the past doesn't mean you get all the credit when we notch up our first win in 15. I want to see more of yesterday and none of the first three weeks for the rest of the season

I knew this was coming..
The people who get on their moral high horse against those of us who constructively criticise our club are just as bad as labelling people who criticised the Iraq war 'Anti American,' or labelling people who didnt agree with Australian troop deployment as UnAustralian..

Lets enjoy the win.. but lets also understand that the intensity of yesterday needs to be repeated throughout the year. If it isnt, we are in big trouble.

Seemed more like impatience than constructive criticism.
