Sad.

its fair to expect more from the older more senior and experienced players - if todays youngsters learn from judd and not others then there should be no reason for them cop the wrath in the future cos they wont be lazy front runners like some of our older players today.

Only if we're winning.

If we're losing they will be lazy.

Fickle.

Reminds me of my 1981 Huttons VFL yearbook.

In it is a Q&A of a player from every team. Under the question 'Biggest Hate' most of the players said 'fickle supporters'.

Some things never change.

its not being fickle - its being realistic

you cant cheer and congratulate lazy efforts because you dont want to be fickle

yes you can still support but you can also expect effort

i personally have not much issue with skill errors - can cop those because thats all part of development but i cant and wont cop laziness and poor attitudes

i dont think thats fickle

The first step to understanding your fickleness is to admit you are fickle.

Being fickle is just like being in love...when everything is going well you gloss over the bad bits, when things are going to shit you focus on the bad bits.

But when things are going bad if some of the bits aren't old then you don't push them but the older bits you vent your anger on. The sad thing is those young bits will be old bits in bad times and cop wrath. It's very sad.

Gee Budzy. I can only suggest you have a guilty conscience because I wasn't even having a go at you! What happened to the poster we all knew and loved? The one that used to fill our offseasons in 2005 and 2006 with thought provoking questions during the offseason to fill in the time until our glorious club took to the field again? That's the Budzy I remember... that's the Budzy I know and respect. Not the one who jumps up half-cocked in indignation that I might have disagreed with him.

FWIW I agreed with you in my initial post. We don't have a modern gameplan. I then offered a sound reason as to why this was the case, and then followed on from that reason by saying this meant people should leave our young kids alone. I don't see any element of sniping at you in all of that, or any hint of disagreement with what was in your initial post... that is, unless you have a guilty conscience.

I'm not sure any of that deserves to be told to pull my head in. Bring back the Budzy I know and respect!

Molly,

I know you weren’t having a personal crack at me.

I’m just @#$%&! tired of the general bullsh*t.

Tired of people here beating up on others who have a criticism of certain elements of the club. It’s weak and it’s bullsh*t! “Wounds that are hidden and ignored tend to fester and worsen with time..”

Tired of reading pathetic quotes in the press such as “we’ve forgotten how to win”. It’s BULLSH*T!!!

I’m sick of seeing PR gimmicks like ‘harden the @#$%&! up’ wrist bands. It’s BULLSH*T!!

Tired of the snails pace decision making at the club over the past god knows how many years.
We all knew Smorgon was a dud before he even got in as President. Why did it take so long for an alternative to put their hand up??
We all knew Pagan was no good years before he got the arse.
We all know that we have mentally fragile players on our list who should’ve been shown the door years ago. Their poison to a modern day playing group. Why are they still there???
For 5 years up until RP arrived it was one step forwards two steps backwards. We still have some of the same duds from that time still involved at the club now!!

I’m sick of the ‘talk’

I’m sick of seeing the increasing masses of well meaning, innocent and passionate supporters who give their hard-earned to the club being fed bullsh*t year after year.

Whilst RP and Swann have done some great things since they’ve been in, they still haven’t gotten rid of all the mental softness and bullshit of the last 7 or so years. What are they waiting for??

Proper healing onfield will begin at the MC selection table …but will they have the backbone?????

Every one of the 22 that runs out in the navy blue must have the will, the want, the desperation, the personal sacrifice and the dedication to the real meaning of the word ‘team’.
Until the selectors rid the team of mental fragility, we’ll remain pathetic.

Oh I see!

I needed to pull my head in because I defended my own team's players.

Sorry, I thought I was on the Carlton Supporters Site... I won't make that mistake again

It's simple Molly, you can't control peoples opinions so stop trying.
