Buckley's chance.

But the luck of the Irish could come into it too!

Call me kooky, but here it is...

I'm a very superstitious person by nature. Rather than using "reason", "science" or "logic", I look for signs in everyday stuff that so-called rational people dismiss. Maybe I'm dilusional, maybe I'm mad or maybe I'm cluctching at straws but I'm sure we will win.

Footy is not a science. Reason or logic has no place in this game. Our team has fantastic promise but has failed to produce... until now.

My reasons why we will win:

* It's our first day game for the 2008 season

* We are playing at the G on a Sunday

* Our bandwagon supporters have lost heart after last week's loss so it will only be for the "true believers" (just like when we beat Adelaide at AAMI after getting thumped the week before)

3 seemingly unimportant facts

I also believe we are a good chance to win our next 3 games but I will wait and see...

I welcome all you "witch burners" out there to ridicule me and my bold prediction based on nothing. Bring it on! You will be eating humble pie but you will also hungrily devour the newspapers on Monday looking for "reasons" for our win. You will only find the blind rantings of second rate journalists trying to regain some credibility after rubbishing us for the past 3 weeks.

So there it is.

Ya know what - I like it.

I like everything that lacks reason or logic...

But this idea, I like it the best.

oh wouldn't that just be the best? all the hype that collingwood supporters are believeing after he's kept brown, pavlich and richo to a goal each and then fev just comes out and kicks 8 on him?

No premonition or funny feelings here.

Common sense and logic tells me the Blues will win. 8)

PS. Whilst I so desperately want the Blues to give it to those pricks, just remind any magpie supporter on sunday that you'd rather follow a team that lost 14 games straight than a team that lost 8 grand finals straight.

I will be tipping the Blues for the first time this year, the Woods do not flood and therefore hopefully our turnovers, which destroys us each week, may not hurt as much.

Teams tend to flood back wait to we butcher the ball and then run down the field and set up goals. The Magpies play a more structured team (forward pockets, half fowards etc)

May be I'm just wishing too hard.

Go Baggers!

Collingwood supporter on SEN - "Carlton supporters will see their 15th on Sunday".

My reply - "Already seen our 15th (Flag) in 1987 and 16th in 1995. You may see your 15th in 2108".

I haven't said one thing bad about Houlihan on this site to date, but seeing that match on the weekend confirmed what a lot of people have been saying here.

I think there are three major weaknesses:-

1) too soft

2) can't tackle

3) one speed motor

For a player who has been in the system for such a long time- it is

disappointing that he is de-facto leadership material for others.

I want a player who is

1) hard at it

2) has a good motor (he had an exceptional beep test when tested)

3) a physical competitor.

The player I am thinking of is Ryan Jackson.

They both might be Ryan's but they play the game in a different way.

In: Jackson

Out: Houlihan

We will win.

You watch. Carlton by a couple of goals :-)

After the pain subsides each week every one looks to the next game & starts to believe again...only to rediscover the harsh reality again on the weekend[/quote]

Such a true to life description of a Carlton supporters life for the past few years

We will win because Malthouse is too busy whinging about rising stars and the team of the century to concentrate on the game at hand.

To win we have to do the following in my opinion

- Try to isolate Fevola against Brown... Fev will destroy him given half decent ball

- Ohailpin has to play, and put him on Rocca

- Scotland on Didak ( Scotland owes us bad )

- PLEASE play Houlihan forward, if he goes to the backline at the start of the game im walking out of the G.

- Play Waite on Cloke... he will give him a bath

- Get Bannister on Thomas and get him to rough the krusty the clown looking pr*ck up... all game bump and niggle, he is weak

Our midfield will take care of their midfield i would think, rucks are even i reckon...

Id give anything for the Baggers to get up this week

we'll know at 2:08 if we're going to win. judd hasnt lost a coin toss all year, we havent won a game. juddy needs to tank the coin toss so we can have a chance of taking the match.
