and he should be writting about Richmond, but of course no-one wants to write about that. Why ??????

It is clearly so much worse than anything that has been seen before.

AND the player has issued a writ!!

Why write that crap when there is a real story to follow?

BTW he is really losing it! :-D

Flower the flowering flower. You can't be bias and expect to be a journalist. The public want facts and objective information - they don't want bias and degrading information like that. Every other journalist I know is fair to all teams and doesn't show bias and yet this flower is making money by writing complete and utter crap! Fatprick Smith is officially on our hit list.

When we eventually win a premiership, I'm going to find out where that guy lives and coat his house with 200 hard-boiled, foul-smelling rotten eggs along with a dozen buckets of paint. Anyone care to join me?

Fatprick sarcasm aside, its depressing to think we had so many players do well and still couldn't get a win. I doubt we can really play much better than we did on Sat night, not collectively as a team anyway.

The backline is horrible and with that makeup will always let loads of goals through. Fev can't really do much more than kick 8 and Essendon* appears to be the only team that doesn't double and triple team him. And the midfield was on top, Judd, Stevens, Murphy. Hard to see a win coming from anywhere.

I asked that earlier, I don't think anyone knows

Sycophant refers to us the CFC members/supporters who blindly follow the price fixer wherever he leads us.

He coined that phrase in one of his other diatribes did he?

Sycophant in this case refers to the club (players in particular) that are only in place to please the Price Fixer.

Patrick Smith is a wanker, he hates Carlton and Carlton hate him, his opinion has no merit, however this is the type of article that needs to be used to fire up the players!!! Heck its fired me up to the point where if i saw the fatprick on the street i'd ring his flower neck!! Let the players use it to fire em up, this clown is giving it to us!!! @#$%&! him and @#$%&! the pies!!!

What a disgrace!! he has disgraced our great club and the players need to be made aware of it and put it right this Sunday, it is true that our good players played as well as they could have possibly played and we lost!! What does that say for the rest of our group? (I'm talking to you Houla, Scotto, Russell, Carrazzo, Thornton), use this article Ratts, get in their faces, rattle their flower cages during the week and before the game, make them feel the pain of losing when we should have won and let them know that it is not on.

It seems we are intent on making excuses for losses even when we should win, start condemning players publicly, get Judd in the media this week to tell the supporters that the playing group is hurting and that we're gonna make a statement this week, we need to get angry, we need to get passionate! The time for excuses is over, our middle tier players have to start performing, if they did that on the weekend we would have won comfortably. Make them scared of the consequences of not performing like MM does at the pies, he is not scared to tell his group how it is no matter how young they are, they are scared of not performing, not doing the one percenters cos they know who the general is, our players are not scared of their coach and they did not respect the last one and that is difference between the two sides, the pies players both respect and are scared of their general thats why they perform as a team and to instruction for 120 minutes a week not 60!!. Too many of our players intent on collecting their paychecks and too many not up to standard when the pressure is on, too many not scared of the consequences!!

Fire the @#$%&! up Blues, get passionate, get angry, hurt when you lose and kill to win!!

stopped reading smith ages ago as found him to be boring, uninteresting and self-obsessed - a bit like an uncle of mine... anyway, someone else made the point:

WHY is no-one writing about the Holland/Richmond affair?

Caroline Wilson (who I rate on par with Smith) wrote a piece on saturday that presented plenty of "no comments" and "not an issue" type statements from richmond hierarchy without one critical query or opinion. THEn on Sunday she shoots the messenger and spends an entire article bagging Ben Holland. If it had been any other club (and particularly this one) she would have been calling for a royal commission.

I was actually thinking on Saturday that it would be interesting to read her next opinion piece about the issue, to see whether she took a hard line approach as she has on other "ethical" related issues in the game. Absolutely amazed at how she ignored the underlying issue and got defensive on behalf of the Tigers ("high level advice says...") and totally character-assassinated the messenger. Shocking investigative journalism...

Essentially "a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite."

Person acting out of self interest etc etc etc. We are a selfish dishonest club only in it for ourselves, a den of criminals in his eyes.

He clearly hates this club. It has become a fetish for him. I still find myself suprised at how vitriolic he can be, did we kill his first born?

Asshole is referring to us sycophant is a pain in the butt he is trying to imply in his clever little wording that we sold ourselves by cheating/breaking the rules at the cost of our own personal pride, principles, and peer respect

If he bothered to research his facts instead of sozzling bottles of cheap red plonk - he would know that prior to Black Friday 2002 we the members actually threw out the Board led by John Elliott and installed a new board that had CLEAN HANDS and went to the AFL Commission and made further admissions that we were not actually required to make.

So to call us sycophants is just plain lazy and wrong - he is a dill, a drunk, a chucker and obnoxious overbearing pile of pus with no redeaming human qualities and he is actually a very poor user of the English language to boot.

Nope that is too too easy.

I would go around to his house and offer to build him a 3rd storey extension - and hopefully next time he decides to go up to his roof to clean out his gutters the fall from the 3rd floor would kill him.

Actually might need a 4th storey as all his fat and blubber would probably break his fall.

Trouble is, most of us here can't begrudge Smith that weakness. Or perhaps people won't mind if Ackland, among countless others, are rectified by using our word filters.

I try not to use childish nicknames myself but it'd be funny watching some people go apedroppings over it if you did tinker with the word filter
