DESPITE its insistence of being comfortable with Richard Pratt remaining Carlton president, the AFL has asked the billionaire how long he plans to remain at the helm of the club.

Until we, as members, regretfully accept his resignation after number 17!

Quote:
"He is elected by the Carlton members, so it is a matter for the Carlton Football Club.

"The Carlton Football Club — and there might be Carlton people out there who are outraged— have had every opportunity to go to Carlton and say they want their president to be removed and they chose to re-elect him in a landslide," Demetriou said.

What has it been a whole week without any Carlton bashing? He is OUR FUCK-ING president! We elected him, we want him to stay.

@#$%&! off, we're Carlton!

What is the bet that Patrick Smith won't think this answer is good enough?

As the interviewer asks - are the AFL disowning their relationship with Qantas due to their price fixing?

Won't it be hypocritical of them to attack Carlton whilst also receiving sponsorship dollars from Qantas - who have been found out to be price fixers.

It just seems Carlton is always the club they like to attack, while other clubs/companies get off scot free. Carlton bashing year anyone?

Greg Swann was on Triple M before the St Kilda game and insisted that each time someone brings this up the AFL phone him and reassure him they have no issues with Richard Pratt being president at Carlton.

Actually the Spew has been pretty straight up on this every time he's asked - for whatever reason.

Dick Pratt is a very powerful man. It is called politics.

AD is interested in the continuing financial wellbeing of AD. The last thing he'd do is piss off the Pratt family.

John Elliot was a much easier mark.

This is one of those Carlton-bashing campaigns that the more they bitch and moan about it the more I smile.

All those wanting Pratt to be removed as El Presidente – GO FLOWER YOURSELVES!!!

We elected him and he stays.

Sure, what he did was wrong but it has nothing to do with football or my football club. Move along…
Besides, I didn’t suddenly see supermarket items drop in price when the price fixing finished. If anything my shopping bill has almost doubled in the last couple of years!!!

No doubt the AFL are trying to butter him up to assist with the private funding of the Carrara development...

my concern is that the continual media interest in the issue will wear him out and then he might give it up at the end of the season instead of going on.

Media interest = Fatprick Smith

Hardly enough to wear him out.

The topic was raised by Michelangelo Rucci from Adelaide and no doubt a fat troll for Smith.
