Looking forward to reading people's opinions of Kreuz tonight.

Maybe it's a desire to find something positive after a tough defeat, but Kreuzer was sensational for a first gamer. His performance was much more than what ever his raw stats ended up being. He showed great maturity and the makings of some very astute footy smarts. If he follows up next week with a game like tonight's I'll be a very happy man.

His raw stats were pretty good. 16 possessions, 4 marks, 12 hitouts, 2 goals is good for a backup ruckman, let alone a debutant.

This is a terrible time to be a Carlton supporter.

:(

Remember that hurt. It will make the good times better.

Yeah, I knew they'd be pretty handy, but that was precisely my point. As impressive as those figures are, he showed so much more.

:-D

this is one of the things that has pissed me off when ratts said "stick with us cos you've seen lost of success" ...

I'VE seen success (8 flags), but my nephews have seen flower all!! they've seen a tired, lazy, bankrupt, corrupt administation, dysfunctional footy dept, eccentric recruitment and appointments by pagan etc etc etc ...

i would expect ratts to understand that there are some blues fans under the age of 20 who have seen NOTHING ... they deserve more than "stick with us cos we've given you heaps ..."

I dunno, it's nothing personal and I don't know who the 'offenders' are.

I just noticed CB's signature. Is that meant to be funny or is he serious.

I know tonight's defeat was bitterly, bitterly disappointing. But in amongst that disappointment we saw some amazing football tonight which will repay and reward our support in years to come, when games like this are but a distant memory.

As a mod, and a passionate Carlton supporter, I ask, please keep this in mind when posting about our beloved club.

Summed up beautifully.
There was so much to like about tonight.
If it were not for some incredulous umpiring decisions.......

There have been variations on it for quite a few years. I think verbs had "Drink. Then Post." for quite a while.

But camelboy has had the "Think. Then Post." sig, (or variations of it) for quite a few years now. I was just giving it a little echo. :)

I have thought about it and I am being very rational and calm.........so here goes...........breathe, breathe,

If I see Jordan Russell running around in a Carlton jumper again pretending to be a footballer I will......................................(be rational!!!!)....be very disappointed

If I keep hearing people say be patient I will (be rational!!!!!)............. go flower crazy I cant stand watching turn over after error after clanger after unfit player being unable to chase or disappearing for a quarter. 5 yrs of patience is more than enough if we dont get pissed off now it means we are accepting of this crap

You're kidding right?

Im sick of all the spin doctoring on this site, talking about "positives". We can go on about Fevs 8 goals, Judds performance and Kruezers debut, but in the last 5 years weve had things like this happen, Fev has kicked bags, youngsters have played well, weve played one great quarter of football, weve been competitive, but this is nothing @#$%&! new!!! We have been like this for 6 bloody seasons, and im sick of it.

It was like tossing a coin whenever the ball went into our defence, Essendon* had something like 51 forward 50 entries for 36 scores, I think they had a couple of out on the fulls too. How can you call that amazing football?!

Im sick of people on here spinning bullshit about our performances, its time to walk the walk.

Yes, you have a point but how do we go about doing that?

Blah blah blah...yada yada yada...Don't take this personally but comments like this are beginning to sound like a broken record. Of course eventually things will turn nothing ever stays the same but the length of time is what is in question. I would suggest many many years or to be more in tune with your comment...a flowering long tunnel.

I saw nothing tonight I hadn't seen under Pagan (apart from Kruise and Judd) - in fact it reminded my of that goal fest Brisbane game

and so much that was the same again.... But hey we'll win onme eventually, that'll be great.

You go with your 'many many years' and I'll stick to my belief that we're turning the corner slowly.
