Not sure about your post but I dont think Pettifer is what we need. Inconsistent outside forwards wont improve us all that much. We've focused recently on building a better midfield. We have young ruckmen, young midfielders (3 #1 draft picks no less), the best player in the comp in Judd. In time our midfield will be OK. What we now need are some 1/2 decent KPP's. We traded JK (our future CHF) for Judd. A big loss going forward but if there was ever a trade that you'd move heaven & earth for this was it.

Unless Harts has something i've missed and Jamo is going to start channeling SOS we are going to need some KPP's to make things happen. We seem to have lots of flankers/part time midfielders/utility players. We need a Cam Mooney/Jonno Brown/Riewoldt type player to be another target at CHF. I know those guys are not available and they are hard to find and will cost plenty in trades but if we are looking to turn the list over and trade to improve the team then this to me is our most glaring deficiency. We did it in the 90's to get Earl Spalding off Melb.

Somebody with more smarts than me should have a look and see who those superstars mentioned are keeping out of their respective teams. Who can't get a game at Bris/Geelong/St Kilda. I'd even (and dont shoot me here) have a look at Rich and Collingwood as Cloke and Richo have CHF stitched up there, who are they keeping in the magoos and who amongst them is out of contract at year's end.

I think he meant Pfeiffer will play 15 games this year. Don't think he meant anything about getting Pettifer to the club.

If he did, then if he just got the names mixed up then

possibly trade gibbs and murphy?

FFS, both are going to be guns and you want to consider trading them?

the only way it should even remotely be cnsidered is if it involved J. Brown pulling on the Navy Blue Jumper.

Pfeiffer said in his post match interview (now i know he's not Judd or Ratts but he is coming from a more credentialed place than most of us here) after the Saints, that they boys have just all got to gel together as a team. Get to know each others playing style and then they'll know what the best options are playing under stress or if they're up 50 points at the last change.
