Didn't some Aboriginal guy put a curse on Carlton because he wasn't happy about something said by someone at Carlton. I think ever since that,we never been any good, was the curse taken away.

It was Collingwood not us...

It was both actually.

The curse was put on us after something derogatory that Elliot said at a presidents lunch IIRC? It is in the Blue Boys book.

Here it is: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1P1-21455218.html

It was in November 1999.

That was only a couple of months after getting into a Grand Final in the most remarkable circumstances.

Since then it has been one disaster after another.

Yeah since then our superstar Kouta did his knee, then disaster after disaster,Hamill leaving, wooden spoons, lost of picks.

I really think there is a curse, most would say crap, doesn't exists, but if it true, what the big problem of saying sorry to John Kelly ,who got upset.
I reckon bringing him over, getting media coverage would put respect to the Aboriginal community and in general everyone who doesn't think much about Carlton, something Collingwood wouldn't do.

I know for a fact that the Curse was lifted sometime later.

I'm not sure about that, you would think there would be a media story on that.

I know the Australian soccer team had an aboriginal curse relating to the world cup for quite a while...

They lifted the curse; I think a week before the Uruguay game in Sydney!

That was all thanks to John Safran. Got the curse lifted at the venue where it was put on them and then bam they are into the world cup after 30 odd years.

Carrazzo:

To Round 4 2007 - 76 possessions
To Round 4 2008 - 88 possessions

Funny curse.

To all the bloggers who have sought the end of Carrots career as a Carlton player, just review today's game and see how consistently he got the ball and kicked it to the advantage of the team.

Maybe it is time to get on board rather than criticise.

Worsfold was cursing because nobody would pick him up.

That was a curse placed on them by an African Witch doctor.

The 1974 squad went to a Witch Doctor to bless them to get them to the finals, which worked. The people who went to the Witch Doctor then gypped him, and because he got bilked, he cursed the Socceroos.
