Don’t mind the white...

Remember the Man Utd are called the red devils and have a white clash strip...

At least we have a Navy Blue logo!

Me too...for once Melvey I agree with you :)

At the barest minimum, we should be wearing Navy short with the white top. If it's good enough for Sydney to wear red shorts away because the white in their jumper proves enough contrast, then we can wear navy shorts away. White and white makes us look like...Freo

Not to mention a bunch of wooses.

Not there there is much difference between the two.

It is not a minor thing. And unfortunately, with so many already saying they don't mind it, I fear I will have to die with it.

So it was the jumpers fault we lost to one of the favourites for the flag.

That makes sense

Did I miss the part where Melvey said we lost because of the colour of our jumper? Personal thoughts about any author's perspective(s) from irrelevant threads shouldn't spill over. Play the ball, not the man.

Personally I prefer to see Navy Blue each week, but I understand the reasoning behind their introduction and believe they're here to stay.

IMO, I would've opted for a M & M colour jumper. I liked that one and that wouldn't clash. The white does look good though. The CFC symbol still stands proud. It's what's inside the jumper that counts which ATM is letting it down.

By far the best clash jumper, although Freo's is close

I think Fremantle's is great.; they should use that as their regular jumper.

white stripes drummer gets too much bad press from drumming purists.

sure, she's primitive and has a crap technique and may or may not have only got the gig because of her brother, but shit tommi... chick drummers are cool. even if they can't drum very well.

you know it.

yeah, and our white jumper is pox. god forbid we should ever make a grand final vs st kilda, and be forced to hold up the cup in an umpires strip.

But I suspect that's the least of our problems right about now.

John........... pretty sure jack White took Meg's name (White) when they got married. the whole brother and sister thing was hogwash. Jack White wasn't born Jack White.

anyway, back to the point of the thread. Melvey, most sensible thing you have ever said. Against Richmond the passion in me welled up. I was vocal, I was upset, I was ecstatic etc etc etc. Last night I just wasn't the same. Why? Cos watching our players run around in White doesn't feel like I'm watching the blues. I hate them.

I agree that they probably look better than most other clubs clash quernseys, but at the end of the day, it just doesn't rouse the same passion in me. After all we are the BLUES.

As an away strip I thought the jumpers look good. As a matter of fact the next Blues jumper I buy will be one of them.... to add to the collection.

i can't believe i'm saying this but i'm with melvey on this one. if collingwood don't have to make an alternative strip then we shouldn't either. and i reckon if pratt was the prez when we were told to make these we wouldn't have even made them, not without a fight anyway. i'm not saying it looks better or worse than our original jumper but i just don't like the whole concept of a clash jumper.
