Cons:

Scotland
Houlihan

Awful for senior players, had we a half decent list for the last 5 years they'd be but a distant memory.

Carazzo and Stevens both awful users of the footy/decision making again tonight.

Bannister not part of our future surely?

Pros:

Another game under the belt for Judd, Hadley, Fisher, etc - gee, we really do have a few underdone.

Good games by kids:

Hampson
Gibbs
Murphy

Eddie's goal

Fishers Return
JR Looked like a footballer
PFIEFFER!
Murphy first half.
Gibbs got alot of it.
Cloke was great.
Edwards looked good for game 2

Cons:
Could have been a much bigger loss
Carazzo had a bad night.
Scotland was no good.
Fevola

pro Murph Gibbs Bower and Waite

the rest could be exchanged with our bullants players and it really wouldn't matter ('cept for Judd but @#$%&! he looked sore tonight).

Pros:

Pfieffer showed he is a senior player
Thorton played well on Kosi (he will still probably get bagged from a few TCers)
O'Halphin did well on G especially cutting off his usual run around from a set shot on the boundary

Semi Pros:

After copping it for his selection, Russell did a few good things.

Cloke tried his guts out

Jake

Cons:

Flowering umpires, they have no flowering idea. Maybe we could get the Japenese to do some scientific research on the umpires instead of the whales.

11 point turn arounds, to many times we miss a shot for the ball to go to the other end for a goal

Carrots should be dropped

The ease with which the ball gets cleared from our forward line is frightening

Pro: Another game for hampson, edwards, judd, hadley, stevens
Con: Scotland and Bowers disposal was ordinary

Pro: Bower has the potential to be a good redounding defender
Con: Houlihan doesn show any leadership for 100+ game player.

Pro: Ran the game out better
Con: Another 100 pts kicked against us

Pro: Great start and could have been better if not for a couple of skill errors
Con: Skill errors in forward 50

Pros:

- Waite in the backline
- Betts won goal of the year

Cons:

- Pathetic tackling, someone in the club really needs to address this. I've had enough of those "duck your head and grab the opponent's waist" tackle. It's bloody useless.

- Very bad kicking to our forwards, too many high in the air, no advantage to the forwards at all. We are having this problem since the NAB cup.

- Bannister, I think we have seen enough of him to make the decision of getting rid of him at the end of the year.

- Our players are too soft.

Pros

Gibbs, Russell (ok), Pfeiffer (good user normally), Murphy, Waite as well as senior time into the underdone Judd, Hadley (good start), Fish, Hampson etc.

Cons

Poor use of footy, , the general ordinary application of a lot of our "senior" players: Houlihan (including not shepherding), Bannister, Stevens, Scotland (lazy by foot), Setanta (getting bumped off the footy by Milne) and numerous others. It's a pity when a lot of the kids are pretty good.

This is not a "sack 'em all" rant, but I hoped the video is reviewed in front of the players. A few of them could do with the "Leading Teams" shame game.

Spent all summer worrying about our backline, hey? It was OK. But, we have NO forwardline. Nothing. Eddie Betts is our presenting CHF. We need to find a way to kick goals.

PROS

1. Waite - I'm not a great fan of waitey but he had a great game tonight. He seems to go well on Reiwoldt and he had very few typical Waitey half arsed efforts

2. Bower - improving and looking good.

3. Cloke - Has a dip and a lot could learn from how he goes about his footy.

4. Murph and Gibbs - Both quality players. They still only exert influence in patches and must learn to add consistent output to their game

5. Hadley's start - had a great first quarter but went AWOL after quarter time

CONS

1. Centre half forward - We get the ball at CHB, look up to kick, and have absolutely nothing presenting except Michael Gardiner sitting in the hole. Eddie Betts was our leading CHF. terrible. It just so happens that we traded our only developing CHF for a guy that at the moment can't run properly.

2. Jordan @#$%&! Russel - A mere witches hat. How does a guy get to AFL level when he cannot contest. His tackles are like a summer breeze. He gets bumped off the ball. He has no idea. When he gets the ball, he actually uses it decently. But this guy offers no contest whatsoever. How he got a game ahead of grigg is a disgrace!!!!!

3. The effect of no CHF on our game plan - because we have nothing to kick to, we play crab footy, and just kick it around. Then when we get the odd mark in 50 it's on the boundary line. We hug the fence. It's terrible to watch. We need someone to straighten us up

4. Fevola - either he's hurt or he's playing like a dog. take your pick

5. Team ethic - they don't run hard enough, they don;t tackle hard enough, they don;t go back with the flight of the ball. These guys need a rocket up their bum, and need to start playing for eachother.

Special mention - Stevens - minimal impact and looked pudgy in the white jumper.

I think everone is back to reality now. Those who were talking of a top 4 finish pre-season have been shown up to be quite gullible and got sucked in by the hype. By the way, I hope that hype can get fit.

too many to mention but bower is not up to AFL standard with his disposal, hardly ever hits a target and has poor vision up the field

Pro's - BAckline. THe talls did well. Ball coming in at great speed and regularly.
Gibbs, murphy...even liked Bower.

COns:- midfield. Underdone judd stevens scotland and Carrazzo (must get moved back to backpocket or be dropped.

They walked it through the middle.

We had no answer to their mass flood.

Pro - looked good up until we let them in .. probably 25min of the first 1/4. Then again about 5min of the last
Con - just stopped for the rest of the game

Pro - Bryce and Cam had career PBs for possessions
Con - Ratts none from 2 (or 1 from four, counting the Who Cares)

Pro - We had 16 scorers
Con - Our "stars" were anything but!

Pro - Many people on TC can say what they think out in the open
Con - Some cowards choose to do so by PM

Pro - We have the Scum next week
Con- 0 and 2

That's with what little I know about football, anyway

Pros... JR showing he can make it

Cons... Lack of leadership by senior players

Pros... Predicting the outcome in the pre-match discussion

it was @#$%&! Bower's kicking that hurt - unless you are talking about when he looks up and there is no one in the forward fifty , no one running past and he has 3 sainters bearing down on him - @#$%&! me, have a look at Stevens and Scotland running free and missing everything!

OK, I need to set something straight.

There are guys on here putting Jordan Russel in the pros - I will bet that every one of you were watching on TV and not at the footy.

He was deplorable. He gets led to the ball, can't contest, and is soft as piss.

When he was on gram it was a field day.

He emulated greats such as Powell Athorn and Livingston tonight.
